San Juan Hills will be traveling to Texas this year.

San Juan Hills was a Top 20 team in California last year (Maxpreps) and are Preseason Top 20 this year in several of the Preseason polls I saw.
They are a pretty big school and would be a large Texas 6A School.

Rockwall-Heath plays in the same Texas District as Longview.
Rockwall-Heath was an average team last year, but played some teams very closely.

It's a good depth matchup.

Anyways, Rockwell-Heath returns 17 starters and might be a sleeper in that Region 2 District 10 this year.

San Juan Hills is Preseason #17 In the CIF Preseason Top 25.
Back in the olden days this game would get a little message forum play.
Not sure what days we're in nowadays.

Anyways,

California depth is not good at all. Mater Dei, SJB and Centennial warp the view of the state because they themselves are so good. But the rest of the state starts to fall off a cliff.

Hell, when the number 6 team in California played the number 6 team in Florida, the Florida team put a running clock on them.

I remember a few years ago a team from KENTUCKY beat a California team, and the California team finished higher in their state than the KENTUCKY team did in theirs!!!!!

This will be a 42-13 type game in favor of the Heath bars

San Juan Hills is a Southern Section D2 team that didn't make it past the Second round of the Playoffs last year losing by 2 TD's...

If a TX 6A team like Rockwall Heath can't beat them, then TX is in Trouble... 🤣

RW Heath didn't even make the playoffs last year, they went 4-6 (finished 6th in a 7 team district)and were ranked 136th in Texas.  San Juan hills was ranked 20th and you're here already making excuses. So much for Cali depth

To be fair, 136 in TX is about 20 in California

Warren High won 11 games in Southern California, and made the CIF Southern Section finals losing a 3 point heartbreaker to St Bonny who finished 28th in Cali and made the state championship game losing themselves a 6 point heartbreaker to nationally ranked Folsom.

Woodford County KENTUCKY finished 57th in KENTUCKY, went 6-4 in KENTUCKY, and lost 60-14 in the first round of the KENTUCKY playoffs to a 5-7 team!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And Woodford County KENTUCKY went to California and dropped FORTY points in a decisive win!!!! Warren had to score 20 in the 4th to make it close

If that's true then Cali's depth sucks for a major state.

California gets ALLLLLLL their ink from their top teams. When it comes to the top teams, they are second to none. Realistically, the top 7 in Cali can go toe to toe with anyone's top 7. And could win 4/7 with no issue.

The issue with Cali is the depth does fall off a cliff.

A few years ago a 6-3 Florida team who missed the playoffs beat a 12-2 California team who lost in the state semi finals.

A real nailbiter

There are about 10 to 20 games like this every year in Florida. Games like this are what give out of state matchups a bad name.

and they still finished Top 20 in CA per the human and computer polls

This year they are Preseason Top 20 in all the polls I've seen.

Maybe the people and the computers that rank California don't know what the hell they're talking about. That's always a possibility.

You must be expecting a 30 point win by Northwestern over Orange Lutheran right?

You do know a 12-3 Cali team can play in division 4 or 5 and be ranked in the 200s right? I'm curious, whose this school you speak of?
