So I get why Red Flag is changing the subject with random teams and their preseason ranking. It's to say that you can schedule a highly ranked team but that team won't always pan out and you can't predict it.

But that's not what happened. Cathedral was never good, and never top 25 in state. Ever in their history. They were ranked 68th in California alone when Curtis signed the contract. They went 10-1 against an easy schedule. They lost their entire defense, and limped to a 6-6 record and 107th in state.

Curtis knew this team would be a lot worse than the one before. And they knew they would be much improved. They wanted a free win against an inferior team. And they got it. They don't need Red Flag lying for them to make it seem better than it was

And again. When four loss Deerfield Beach beat Louisiana's 9th ranked team in the state Zachary 53-0, he excused the beat down by saying Zachary lost by nine points to another top Louisiana team.

But now since cathedral is not from Louisiana, they don't get to use the five in-state losses They suffered after playing Curtis
