I guess you have to be from Louisiana, Mississippi maybe Alabama to know who it is.

4A Louisville, MS
One of the top programs in Mississippi in any class. Louisville is tied for the most State Championships in Mississippi at 12 with West Point, I believe.

"1985, 1986, 1991, 1993, 1995, 2007, 2008 , 2018, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023 "

Used too when you thought about Mississippi High School football you thought about Louisville, West Point and South Panola....... South Panola has dipped, but still plays pretty good football.

Anyways, John Curtis has 6A North Shore, TX Week 1 and 4A Louisville, MS Week 2

Louisville has a pretty good non-district schedule. Probably much better than Bixby's if you want to be honest about it.
5A West Point
7A Starkville
D1 John Curtis, La

I doubt @Omaha Vol has ever heard of Louisville because he just doesn't know very much,  but he definitely has had West Point and Starkville ranked in his Nonsense 100 before.

That 2023 Louisville team was pretty special.

The last OOS game Louisville played was against a good Ridgeway (Memphis) in 2012 when Ridgeway was playing OOS games yearly. Louisville came out on top 42-41.

Anyways, it is what it is.

That 2023 Louisville team was 14-0 and #3 in MS.
I remember people talking about that team on the Bayou and Mississippi Forums.

I remember in 2015 4A Noxubee County, MS traveling 900 miles by bus to take on Texas 5A Power Aledo at Aledo..

Aledo eventually won the game 10-6, but they were lucky. Texas people were shitting all over themselves. That Noxubee defense was lights out. Noxubee won 4A that year in MS

Wasn't the greatest Aledo team, but they were (13-2) went 5 rounds and Noxubee County held them to their lowest point total of the year.

Louisville and Noxubee County is always a pretty good game in Mississippi.

Lol. Red Flag spent hours all night on this group project trying to make Curtis opponent look better than they are.

Simple enough to just say they are a schedule filler and Curtis should handle them with ease. That's what an honest person would say.

This propaganda machine can't help himself. Trying to put lipstick on a pig and enter it into a beauty contest.

But this whole backstory about Elvis playing a concert in Louisville in the 50's means the Louisiana opponent should be good is nonsense. It's embarrassing

A filler game would be scheduling 98.9% of Florida...... like the nation did last year, it was so ugly and embarrassing. Need a win schedule a filler Florida team.

A filler game is NOT vs a Mississippi Blue Blood

I'm just happy John Curtis didn't schedule one of those slappy Florida teams which make up a majority of Florida.

Well done JT!

California and Florida probably lead the nation in Slappy's. 🤠🏈🤠

Fact!

You could be 10 -1 in Florida or California and still be a freaking Slappy........ that just shows you  how many Slappy's there really are in those states.

Most filler games are added about a month or two before the season starts anyway......not March!

Louisville vs John Curtis will probably make the MaxPreps Top 10 Games Of The Week list

RedZone's exaggerations in this thread:

- He doubts @Omaha Vol has ever heard of Louisville. This is a half-truth; NOBODY has ever heard of Louisville

- Ridgeway was a "good" team in 2012. Reality is they were the 30th best team in Tennessee

- Texas was "shitting their pants" about Aledo and Noxzema County. The reality is Aledo was the 26th best team in Texas in 2015, Noxzema County was the 10th best team in Mississippi. Had Noxzema managed to win your typical Texan high school football fan would have responded with "those Mississippi boys were pretty good!" while RedZone would act like it was the Miracle on Ice

(I love the fact that Texas catches strays when the past three weeks he's been arguing with some SoFla retiree, a displaced Tennessean sipping the bottle of Jack he keeps in his overalls, and some over-caffeinated lizard-skinned Arizonan. It makes no sense whatsoever but I think my ironic insults of us are better than anything he's ever come up with)

In 2024 Louisville was 12-2 and #9 in MS
Louisville beat 5A State Champ West Point and 7A Starkville that year.

https://www.maxpreps.com/ms/louisville/louisville-wildcats/football/24-25/schedule/

Louisville lost the State Champ game by 1 point or it would be 13 state titles right now

Louisville dipped a little last year going 10-3, but from what I'm reading they're supposed to be really good this year. We'll see!

Great match up.

Have to respect Louisville for stepping up to the challenge, but again it might not even be stepping up. They can ball!

Not sure what this is all about, but I guess there is supposed to be some comedy in there.

Keep us all posted on Arizona 4A football, Woody! 🏈🤠🏈

You mean the division I've spent the past ten years calling absolute dog shit?

Again, you're bad at this.

Wow, John Curtis is actually traveling up to Louisville, MS.
JT said Curtis needed a home game. I guess this matchup was too good to pass up. Might be a home/home series

I've never been up that way honestly.
Nice little trip.
