We won against Thompson last year by going for 2 in OT and making it.  This year, we came from behind and tied it in the last minute.  We held and it was OT again.  We went first, scored and made the PAT.  The Warriors scored, went for two, and didn't make it.  Our backup QB stepped up and looked pretty good all things considered.  He had at least 4 passes dropped, two in the end zone, and one that got through the receiver's hands and was intercepted.  His passes mostly looked good but at least from what I've seen last year and tonight, he isn't yet the dual pass/run threat Travis was.

I'll take the win.  Rightly or wrongly, I consider Thompson to be the strongest regular season team we will meet.  Mallard Creek might surprise me.  Thompson has won 5 of the last 6 top classification championships so they are a really good team.  After the end of game handshake, both teams gathered together for an after game prayer, at least I think it was a prayer.  After that, they mingled a little more before the coaches separated them to talk to the players post game.  Given the tension, it could have been different but clearly two disciplined, well coached teams
