We are about 3 weeks away from the season officially starting. What are the games you are looking forward to? (OOS or in state doesn't matter)

Texas isn't heavy with OOS games but the few we have I'm looking forward to:
Longview v Ruston LA
Anna v highlands AZ

Instate:
Desoto v north Crowley
Ridge point (my sleeper ) v bridgeland
SOC v North Shore
Carthage v Kilgore

Longview and Ruston have played 13 times.

Longview leads the series 7-6 with Ruston winning last year 21-10.

The two programs mirror each other. Quality athletes, quality coaching and quality facilities

I'm interested in the Melissa - Don Bosco Prep game.  Melissa's no great shakes but it's always interesting to me to see these matchups.

I forgot about that Melissa game, yes that's on the radar to keep up with. Are you going to go?

Both on 9/5:

Basha hosts Orange Lutheran - OLu is the only Trinity League team to lose to an Arizona squad. Basha should be very good and might send the visitors back 0-2 all-time versus the desert dwellers

Liberty travels to Corner Canyon - battle to decide who's the best of the rest in the West (after the TL, Gorman, and Southern Section at large)

John Curtis (NOLA) will be traveling to the Los Angeles area to play in the California Classic vs Cathedral (Los Angeles)...... that's where Bryce Young played two years before transferring to Mater Dei.

Eastlake, WA will be playing Williams Field, AZ In the California Classic also

Lakeland and DLS are both ranked fairly high nationally in the preseason. Should be a good one

Another interesting Texas/ Louisiana matchup.

Houston Legacy School Sports Sciences (LSSS) Will travel to New Orleans to play St Aug at Tad Gormley Stadium in NOLA.

Five-star LSSS QB Henderson (Houston commit) is the #1 rated prospect in Texas and he may well be the #1 player in the nation after all is said and done.

https://247sports.com/player/keisean-henderson-46129516/

LSSS has a WR committed to Texas A&M and a couple other standouts.
I don't think they're quite there yet, but they got some good players.

St Aug is St Aug. I actually have them #2 in the Catholic League behind Edna Karr this year. Athletes for days and they are coached much better with this new coaching staff. New attitude.

They seem to be in a bit of a light rebuild; breaking in a new QB as well as other pieces, but do have a young, good little back and guy with measurables at receiver/safety. Typically they're very well-coached but they did finish last season in a tailspin and just about every notable team in 6A are comparatively stacked. They'll likely be a lot better late in the year than early on.
