Oak Ridge should win by 2 to 3 TDs........ last year anyways.

Of course @Steeler01 will say 👇
"Oak Ridge is Crap!"

Good for Oak Ridge taking a trip to Texas.
More and more California teams seem to be doing that recently

Personally, I don't have Oak Ridge in my California Top 25 this year.

Oak Ridge is going to be a Tough, well coached team.... Defense will be their strength, they are not a Top 25 CA team....

Their biggest problem is their proximity to Folsom as all the best skill players and Especially QB's go to Folsom instead of OR.... Ryder Lyons should have gone to OR as well as Folsoms Current QB who is Definitely a D1 Talent....

Nice to see them playing a TX team, they also recently traveled to McCallie TN as well....

He did it with 2 other ones. Within 10 minutes he starting thresds or posting comments about games I already listed: it's weird for a grown man to do that.
Like I said, he's always got his knee pads at arms' length when it comes to you. Lol

Yeah, I just think it is  weird as hell he will post stuff right after I posted it for some reason, and also go stalk two other boards and come back over here and gossip like a little girl. What makes it creepy is he doesn't even have profiles on the other boards. So he literally stalks it and then runs back over here. This guy is seriously damaged.

OR's Best player Just transferred to SJB so that will be a big blow for them, he was a dominating player for them last year....

In any given year, and in no particular order:

- Trinity League
- DeLaSalle
- Corona Centennial
- Folsom
- Sierra Canyon
- Top 3-5 publics from Orange County (Mission Viejo, Los Alamitos, etc)
- Top 3-5 from San Diego County

...then fill-in open spots with whoever the Bay Area #2 is in a given year, likewise for Sacramento, and any other notables (a special LA City team, Inland Empire #2, a great Fresno/Bakersfield team).

Obviously the Cali guys are going to have a better feel for this but it seems better than 50% of the way there.

That's actually a really good breakdown.

Yeah, I don't think Anyone in California really gives a hoot about a Top 25. Most of that Top 25 is just "filler".

You have to have 25 teams to have a Top 25 though. 🤠🏈🤠

Solid!
But, nobody knows who those teams are.
Didn't last year, won't this year. 😮

Isn't that true for any state? I'd argue that if you can readily name off the top 25 teams in a given state that speaks poorly of the quality of teams in that state as that shows a stagnant pool of squads to choose from. Once you get past a state's top ten you're really rolling the dice that a potential outlier from the year before is going to automatically progress when that may not be a safe assumption. Even outside of the top five you're working with the assumption that a school's 1) going to stay healthy; and 2) any injuries that are sustained aren't going to derail the season altogether.

If the concern is how do you know if an OOS game is a good matchup or not, I would say if you're a top five team in one state and are scheduling a team outside of another state's top ten the odds are you would have been able to schedule a team from your own state of similar ability (and probably should have done so).

Most people can name 10-15 teams in the top 25 in any state.

DLS
Bosco
Mater Dei
Servite
Santa Margarita
Centennial
Mission Viejo
Folsom
Cathedral Catholic
Orange Lutheran
Sierra Canyon

That's 11 teams that will be in the top 25 guaranteed.

I don't know about all that.

If Texas and Georgia can come up with a reasonable looking and solid Preseason Top 25 then California should be able to.

The problem with California is 10 or 11 teams are 250 miles ahead of everybody else in the state.

If the #15 Preseason CA team gets blown out OOS nobody even thinks twice about it.

If the number #15 Preseason team in Georgia or Texas, or even Louisiana gets blown up OOS it's a big f****** deal!

MaxPreps having a team like Oak Ridge, CA a Top 100 team nationally last year was a joke.
They're no better than Jesuit (NOLA)... .... I can throw out the well coached team card too.
