Helix had a really good Coach that I believe went to coach at the College level 4 or 5 years ago and they haven't been the same.... He won several Section Titles....

Plus with the rise of SDCC and Lincoln, Misson Hills and Carlsbad players have been going to those schools instead of Helix because Helix is a Charter school and their old Coach pulled kids from all over the county....

Helix had a string of like 4 or 5 years where they were pretty good especially during the Alex Smith and Reggie Bush years. But after that, not much to speak of. I still have no clue who Santa Fe Christian is.  I first heard of them when I read about the game with a LA team on here.

They also had a run from I think 2015 to 2022 of like 5 Section titles in 7 years or something like that before the coach left.... He was great at pulling kids from all over the county and Alex Smith and Reggie Bush had a good relationship with him and involvement with the program during those years....

Santa Fe Cristian is in Solana Beach one of the wealthiest places in San Diego and is a Private school with Drew Brees Coaching there and his kids going there so they are hot right how....

You have to put it into context of who you were dealing with. This clown knows nothing about football. He honestly thinks that if you beat a team when they are at their worst, it's the same as beating them from 10 or 20 years ago when they were at their best. He is willing to admit something so fucking brain dead just to lessen the blow of a top 20 San Diego team beating the tar out of a top 20 metro New Orleans team.

That is the kind of propaganda red flag has pushed for years. What he does with Louisiana out of state opponents is find their best teams in history from decades ago as an excuse on why the Louisiana team lost.

And then he does it with that teams opponents. Thats the point of the exercise. To prop up Helix by talking about Reggie Bush and Alex Smith days. Talking about when they advanced far in the playoffs when the current kids were in elementary school or not even born yet.

Because if he can convince you that Helix is good, and get that to stick, then when Santa Fe beats Newman the same as they beat Helix, he can use that as a crutch and coping method that it wasn't that bad of a loss.

He thinks Santa Fe beating Helix in 2026 lessens the blow of them also beating Newman in 2026, because Helix had a good team in 2019.
