BlueStarMedia and Chris Lawlor (formerly of USAToday Super 25) looks like they might be out of the HSFB rankings business. They haven't posted anything on their site since February.

Similarly, TheSportingNews has yet to release a preseason ranking. They posted a High School Football Spring Top 25 back in May and  a California 2026 high school football rankings in July in which they stated "SN will release its official preseason national and California rankings before the 2026 season starts once it's time for school and player movement has more or less ended."  Games technically start this weekend and there seems not to be a lot of action on their high school pages over the past few months, so they may or may not still release a "preseason" ranking in the coming days or weeks.

A new ranking has been created called USATop100 but as of now I don't think they fit the criteria of being added to TheCompPoll. I would consider them a "hobbyist" poll and not a media or algorithmic poll. I will continue to monitor that ranking and adjust accordingly, but adding them seems unlikely for now.
