Brandon is a suburb of Jackson with a population of 26,000.
School enrollment: 1700
They built a brand new stadium in 2015 that holds 10,000.

I've seen several early Preseason Mississippi Polls that have Brandon #2. Evidently they were very young last year.
They have 7 or 8 really nice looking athletes this year including a 4* RB and 3* QB (with SEC offers).

West Monroe will travel to Brandon this year. Not sure if that's a home and home series.
Anyways, that's going to be a very tough game for West Monroe to win this year...... got to have more than a logo.

This 6 loss team was 388th in the country. And because they are playing a Louisiana team they have to be remade and done up to make it appear that Lousiana is playing a top team.

Brandon beat the 1,421st ranked team 17-10 in a 4 quarter war.

And this shit stain red flag had the audacity to say St Joes Philly is a bad opponent for Brentwood Academy when SJP finished 153rd nationally.

It's crazy that red flag doesn't feel embarrassment for his lack of football understanding

I hyped 3 teams last year and they went 38-1 with 2 state championships.

Edna Karr 14-0 #1 La
Mount Carmel, IL 14-0 #1 IL
Sierra Canyon, CA 10-1 #4 CA

I'm not quite sure I'm ready to jump on the Branded Bulldog train just yet, but they could have a special season. The pieces are there.
Mississippi is one of the most difficult states in the nation to gauge for many reasons.

I fully exposed MaxPreps a few weeks back and now no one uses it anymore (for good reason), but if people wanted to use it Brandon would have been the best team Bixby, OK played last year.

Note: 4A Louisville is also a Preseason Top 10 team in 2026.
That's going to be a tough game for John Curtis.

You ever notice Gaybob813 NEVER brings any useful information whatsoever to this forum about Florida high school football? Bizarre really.

Even the Arizona dude talks Arizona.

I can't really blame him now especially the way Florida has sucked the last two seasons, but GayBob813 is clearly the weakest link on this forum when it comes to posting anything worth reading.. He just floats around being gay in every thread I post in or start.

I did. Florida teams beat 31 different state champions from 17 different states in the last 15 years. That includes teams like Bishop Gorman 3 times, DLS, Milton, Buford, John Curtis, St Joes Philly and St Joes Regional. That doesn't include a slew of state runner ups, and nationally ranked powerhouses like St Frances academy multiple times, St John Bosco, Bergen Catholic, Don Bosco etc etc.

I know it's not 3 loss Mississippi and TAPPS teams, but it's not bad

Who didn't think Karr was gonna win state in Louisiana?

Mount Carmel was a top 2 team in the state of Illinois all year long

Sierra Canyon that's one you went out on an actual limb and they didn't win.

And most people were hyping East St Louis and Mater Dei.
How did that work out?....oh yeah, not real well.

... 7 losses between them

I told everyone last year Edna Karr would be a National Top 10 team in 2025. Nailed it!

Who was hyping up Mater Dei after their close games?

That's when you started talking up Carmel and Sierra Canyon after blowout wins.

All the Preseason Polls had Mater Dei #1 and the normal suspect's here fluffed them until they stopped. Go figure

I had Edna Karr, Mount Carmel, and Sierra Canyon in my Top 15 well before anyone else.

Show me the preseason poll where you had Mt Carmel as a top 15 team in the country.

They weren't a top 15 team anyways.  Beating Moeller 43-42 and you think that's a top 15 team in the country is laughable.

Sierra Canyon was a top 4 school in Southern Cali all year long and only played Orange Lutheran and Santa Margarita that could challenge them at all.  Nobody in Socal was thinking anyone else was gonna give them a game.

@Steeler01  who ya got? I seen the list of OOS games for Lousiana and most of its garbage. Teams no one has ever heard of.  These are the top 7 games. What's your prediction?

Alexandria-Bryant (AR)
Catholic BR-Carrollton (GA)
John Curtis-Galena Park North Shore (TX)
Ruston-Longview (TX)
Newman-Santa Fe Christian (CA)
West Monroe-Brandon (MS)
Catholic BR-Madison-Ridgeland (MS)

West Monroe has huge holes to fill.  We will return our QB but the rest of the backfield from last year is gone along with the entire offensive line.  Front 7 on defense is also gone.  Think we will take some lumps, last year we were able to surprise some folks...

Just looking at the pic our stadium is better at least
