Florida had 12 teams in the MaxPreps 150 last year.

Either Florida sucked very badly (they did) or California was kicking some serious football ass!

Texas had 15 teams in the MaxPreps 150 this past year.

California had more teams in the MaxPreps 150 then Texas and Florida combined.

Louisiana with 3 seems right. John Curtis beat Cathedral who lost to 2-8 St Francis. St Francis was ranked in the 2,500's.

Arkansas had 1 team In the MaxPreps Top 150> Bryant

Arkansas's #2 team Bentonville barely made the MaxPreps Top 500

Bentonville has a solid record playing OOS games.
They're 27-15 in OOS games and they scared a lot of big name teams along the way.

I don't think I'm going to use MaxPreps any longer other than for schedules and scores because their rankings are complete bullshit that kids may believe.

This California team was very close to making the MaxPreps Top 150...   (3-7) Jserra Catholic > couldn't even beat Damien whoever the fuck that is.

They have one of the top 5 toughest schedules in the country.

They could have went 11-1 playing garbage like Neville, Ruston, Cathedral, Oak Grove, Legacy etc etc and no one would have batted an eye at their top 150 ranking.

JSerra played 10 better opponents in 2025 alone then the entire state of Louisiana has in OOS games in 20 years.

Number 4 in La SHOULD beat number 8 in Oklahoma. And if Curtis scheduled Owasso, the reaction would have been the same as scheduling Cathedral.

I'd think ranking that many teams would be hard. I saw one "ranking " on this site last year that only could manage to rank 15 teams? And even then it wasn't even weekly, sporadic at times. 😂
