This is why crappy conference winners should never be given top consideration for a playoff spot.Give me the 12 best please

Tennessee was 1 of the 12 best teams last year and they got absolutely smashed in the first round........ even uglier than Tulane when you look at the stats.

Tulane moved the ball well enough in this game to put up at least 24 or 27 points. It didn't happen for them though.

Your theory doesn't hold water.

Quote from: Steeler01 on Dec 20, 2025, 12:53 PMA&M schedule was awful. They played two ranked teams.

Notre Dame
Texas

South Carolina
Arkansas
Utah State
UTSA
Auburn
Mississippi State
Florida
Missouri
Samford

I think Miami can navigate that schedule probably undefeated. A&M had one ranked win.

Miami couldn't even navigate Louisville and SMU.

Get out of here!

But they did navigate A&M and Florida

The ACC did quite well against the SEC

Clemson beat South Carolina
FSU beat Alabama
Miami beat A&M
Louisville 41 Kentucky 0(Texas needed overtime)
Miami beat Florida

A school like Tulane has no business in the playoffs. Give them some irrelevant bowl and make them happy playing a team that doesn't care and their win.

Tulane was 0-4 on fourth down.
That was the killer.

Terrible play calling!

Anyways, Tulane averaged almost 6 yards per play. Most teams will take that everyday.

Anyways, it's not like Tulane was going to win the national championship.

They could.  That's where they should've been playing. A bowl game that nobody cares about like when they did play

That's why USC didn't schedule LSU for more than that one game.

Tulane lost 40 Something to 10 no matter what stats you try to spin, they did not belong at all.... 🤣
