If what people are claiming/saying is true that record will be shattered Saturday by St Aug vs Edna Karr in the Superdome........ it's kind of setting up like the perfect storm.
All I know is 54,347 is a lot of people and will be tough to top.
We've had huge crowds before.
Hell, when John Curtis played Jesuit in an all NOLA D1 Select Champ game 11 years ago that game drew over 38,000.
St Aug/Edna Karr will smash that most definitely. Louisiana has topped 40,000 several times for a single game.

Anyways,

The overall U.S. High School Football State Championship attendance record is held by Texas, with 54,347 fans at the 2013 5A D1 title game (Allen vs. Pearland) at AT&T Stadium, while Georgia's GHSA championships set recent multi-game records at Mercedes-Benz Stadium, exceeding 50,000 paid attendees for their three-day event. Louisiana's Superdome also sees massive crowds, with records around 42,000 for single games.
Top Examples:
Texas (Overall Record): 54,347 (2013 5A D1 Game) at AT&T Stadium.
Georgia (Recent Multi-Game Event): Over 50,000 paid attendance for the GHSA championships at Mercedes-Benz Stadium, set in both 2023 and 2024.
Louisiana (Single Game): Around 42,000 for classic matchups at the Caesars Superdome (formerly the Superdome).
These records highlight major states with strong high school football culture, often utilizing large professional stadiums for their championship events.

Jesuit claimed to have over 27,000 people on their side when they played John Curtis in 2014 in the D1 Select Champ game at the Dome. It was hard to dispute!

Jesuit had a whiteout which looked pretty cool. And the peoples were there.

Jesuit won the game 17-14.
They show some of the massive crowd at the end of the short highlight video.

Any other State Championship Games that had a massive crowd?
