Just pointing out....Dutch Fork won their SC State Championship as well as South Pointe and Northwester.

South Pointe and Northwestern are both in Rock Hill...just in separate classifications.

My semi weekly hot takes and general thoughts on these:

- Cherry Creek is more deserving of a top 15 national ranking than Corner Canyon. 3-0 in out of state games, similar margin of victory against a common opponent (Skyridge), undefeated in-state record, and more D1 signees even after you factor in Canyon sending guys to Dixie State er, Utah Tech. Really seems like a no-brainer.

- Reflective of that give Corner Canyon Basha's spot, move Basha into Liberty's spot, and put Liberty somewhere alongside Hamilton at worst. Easy-peasy.

- IMO Hamilton needed to run the table for Arizona to have an undisputed top 25 team. I don't have many issues with Basha making it (they DID win the Open by four scores with their backup QB) but understand why they'd be excluded.

- Big picture I like that you aren't buying into the Grimsley hype that the likes of Maxpreps has. I fail to see the point in them publishing a schedule strength ranking yet arbitrarily ignoring when assessing undefeated teams. Their resume barely says top 100 to me, let alone top 15.

I'm well aware of that. I gave Rock Hill NW a big bump for their domination of Irmo (the same team Dutch Fork beat by only one score). However, I kept them behind S. Pointe due to their head-to-head loss to them earlier this year.

All excellent points. Both Corner Canyon and Basha took upset losses to rivals, but responded with strong runs to their respective state titles. I give Corner Canyon the slight edge because of their destruction of Liberty earlier on. (Those early results have to have some meaning)

I've liked Cherry Creek all year, as evidenced by having them in my top 50 nationally for the majority of it. By doubling up Ralston Valley I felt it was appropriate to move them up 9 spots. Maybe they deserve more recognition???

As far as Grimsley is concerned, I've never bought into their hype. They are solid with their 5* QB Faizon Brandon. However, squeaking by W. Charlotte in a one point nailbiter compared to Hough's domination of them leaves them in their wake in North Carolina. Heck, I also think Providence Day had a better season than Grimsley.

Corner Canyon is terrible and so is UTAH football.... I mean come on, They are slow and can't do anything.... Their QB who is Supposedly a TXAM commit is laughable, he has no touch and no poise whatsoever.... SFA is an average TL Team, Nothing impressive on their side....

What I feel like I am watching right now is Pacifica vs OLU.... 🤣

But I guess somehow this is supposed to be some kind of National Championship game.... 🤣🤣

So, you're telling me that SJB is just an average TL team? Come on! They barely beat SFA this year. Corner Canyon smoked Arizona's second best team earlier this year. Teams like SFA and most TL teams make other schools across the country look pedestrian. That's life with the NIL and open zones in high school these days. You're going to see a lot more of these blowouts in the years to come. Recruited up all-star teams will only get richer and stronger for the foreseeable future.

And, this was NOT a national championship game. Everyone knows it was supposed to be IMG/SFA. That would've been a much more competitive game.

I hear what you are saying, but I think SFA would have 3 or more losses in the TL this year which would put them just above Servite....

Corner Canyon Got Blown out by a 5 loss Lone Peak team from what I watched they looked like a Southern Section D2 team, nothing impressive at all....

I agree IMG/SFA would have been much better, too bad IMG ducked SFA and that game didn't happen....

I usually don't get to much into the ranking shit too much (any idiot can make their own poll) but this is pretty solid all around. Nice work.

A while ago...we were discussing Thomas Central.  I see you have them in your Top 50.  They beat a VERY good Roswell team last night...by (3) TDs.  Of course, they were playing in the Jacket's Nest.  Next stop is in the Benz against the Red Elephants of Gainesville.  Another top-notch team.  Honestly, Thomas Central is probably Top 4 in Georgia.  maybe...Top 3.  Unless they find a way to....CHOKE.

Creek had about as talented of a senior class as any public in the country and their junior class has a good start from a recruiting sense. IMO all the accolades that were directed to Corner Canyon apply to Cherry Creek.

I think there's an argument to be made that Grimsley is #3 in North Carolina behind Providence and Hough. Grimsley narrowly beat Hough last season and this season Hough has more D1 signees, a tougher schedule per Maxpreps, 2-0 OOS, and West Charlotte didn't take them down to the wire.
