More movement in the rankings, proving just how unpredictable high school teams can be from week to week. No bigger example would be the Massillon Tigers, who after last week looked like they turned the corner in a win over St. Edward turns around and gets clobbered by Team Canada in a sloppy game were they commit six turnovers.

1. Archbishop Moeller (5-1) (previously #1, beat La Salle 42-7): The Crusaders rolled over a pretty solid La Salle team and hold firm in the #1 spot. They head to The Pit this week to take on an Elder team that is off to a somewhat surprising 6-0 start and coming off a win over St. X. 10/3 @ Elder.

2. St. Edward (5-1) (previously #3, beat Bishop McNamara (MD) 57-19): Didn't take long for Ed's to get back to their winning ways, putting a running clock on Bishop Mac. The annual Holy War is on the horizon, but has lost its luster in recent years with the Ignatius program in complete shambles the past three years in the post-Chuck Kyle era. Ignatius actually has some nice weapons on offense in receivers Simms and Haddad, coupled with one of top LB's in the state in Conrad, but they are not a well coached group. Eagles will need to be watchful to not let their emotions get too high in this rivalry game and commit costly PF's.  10/3 v. St. Ignatius.

3. Archbishop Hoban (5-1) (previously #6, beat Walsh Jesuit 19-14): A big fourth quarter drive on the legs of a lethal RB combo in Feister and Henry saw Hoban surge past Hoban in the biggest game over the weekend. The Knights make a big jump this week as they crawl back into consideration as Ohio's best team. They will be off this week before another huge clash with Glenville in week 8.

4. Olentangy Orange (6-0) (previously #4, beat Hilliard Davidson 42-7): No team has arguably been more dominant than Orange so far this season. But with no out-of-region opponent on their schedule, it's tough to say how they stack up with the known powerhouses who play far better schedules. And we likely won't know until late in the playoffs. Still, this a team that appears to be a very legit D1 title contender. 10/3 v. Dublin Coffman.

5. Walsh Jesuit (5-1) (previously #2, lost to Hoban 19-14): Walsh only drops a few spots with the narrow loss to Hoban. They are still on the short list of D2 title contenders and will likely get another shot at redemption against Hoban in the playoffs.  10/3 v. Bishop Hartley.

6. Anderson (6-0) (previously #5, beat Milford 63-0): Anderson is another team that has been absolutely dominant this year and could be too low at #6, but suffers from a mediocre schedule. 10/3 @ Turpin.

7. Avon (5-1) (previously #7, beat Berea-Midpark 55-27): Final score this past weekend is a bit deceiving as B-M gave Avon all it could handle in the first half where the score stood 28-21, but Avon blew it open in the second half. 10/3 v. Midview.

8. Bishop Watterson (6-0) (previously #8, beat Columbus De Sales 42-7): Not much trouble from CDS this week. We'll see if rival Bishop Hartley can give Watterson any trouble next Friday with the Eagles being idle this weekend.

9. Elder (6-0) (previously others, beat St Xavier 23-13): I don't even think the Panther faithful thought they would be 6-0 at this point in the season.  Elder is always one of the best coached outfits in the state and runs a very efficient offense that can be difficult to defend, but they are getting it done with defense this year. Their defense will need its best performance of the year if they are to pull the upset over Moeller. Elder's Pit is one of the most difficult places to play in Ohio, and the joint will be rocking on Friday. 10/3 v. Moeller.

10. Glenville (4-2) (previously others, beat John Marshall 47-0): Glenville is in the dregs of their Senate League schedule at the moment where they likely aren't even playing their starters into the second half of games. Their last chance to make a statement will be next week against Hoban. 10/3 @ East Tech.

Others: Pick North, Pick Central, Mentor, Upper Arlington, Princeton, St. X, Highland, Wadsworth, Massillon, TCC, Canton McKinley, Trotwood-Madison, Olentangy, Wayne, Whitmer

I'm guessing the Holy War's going to be a Holy Bloodbath this year?

It should be, but stranger things have happened in this long rivalry. Ignatius' roster is not bad at all. They have a number of standout athletes, but seem to lack an identity. Many feel (especially Ignatius alums) that this will be Franzinger's last season at the helm of the storied program.

Nice rebound win for Massillon over Ritter. Last year the same exact strength Ritter team beat the tar out of St Augustine Louisiana. Ritter was 6th in MO last year. 7th going into this game. Massillon needed a good win like this to stop the bleeding

Looks like I'm going to have to drop Archbishop Moeller from the Redzone Red Hot 15.

Tough night, but it happens

It was 30-14 in the 4th quarter and Ritter led by multiple scores the entire 2nd half. Finished the game ahead multiple scores.

Ritter called the dogs off up 30-14 so some young guys can get the experience on the road. And they still scored another touchdown. Lol.

Ritter finished 6th in MO. Tonight they were 7th. Good win for Massillon.

I seen Catholic Louisiana a consensus top 4 Louisiana team just lost to a Mississippi team again. Lol. That's another top 4 Louisiana team losing to a Mississippi team. Lol.

Anyways, good win for Mass

I tried to tell you Moeller and Mount Carmel shouldn't be ranked that high, but you're an idiot who never listens to reason.
