Congratulations to Bishop Gorman for finally getting that monkey off of their backs. I'm very confident in saying that 99% of teams in America would stop playing an OOS opponent if they were 0-5 versus them. Most teams would concede at 0-3 and probably never schedule them again. It's great to see that Gorman's AD Grant Rice finds a way to schedule great opponents on a yearly basis. Also most NIAA schools are now colluding to not play Gorman so the Gaels are probably going to schedule more Trinity league schools going forward.

MD played their first OOS state game in 1959 and was undefeated vs OOS teams until last night. They had a 31-0 record including big wins vs 2018 IMG, 2019 St Frances and 2025 STA. I'm glad that a Nevada team gave them their first loss.

Gorman beating the 2 best teams in California this year should also be noted. No other state can claim to have ever done this to CA.

I believe Lakeland had the ball inside AHP territory on each and every possession of the game, but the great athlete/poor passer QB threw three picks, one of which was returned to the 1 yard-line. In the second half, Lakeland got smart and threw only quick, short passes with only one exception. They've got a good OL with good talent on the perimeter, they just need to be smarter about throwing the ball. If Bill Castle was coaching this team, they may well have been good enough to compete for the Open title. But, as is, I don't think they deserve to be in the playoff even if they get by The First Academy. I think they needed to be unbeaten given their toughest games are at home. The reasons they might make the playoff are Carol City's forfeit and the South Florida teams'tough schedules (both in state and OOS) leading to more losses. If they get lucky and find a way into the playoff, I hope they stick to the second half approach vs. AHP. They would've beaten Venice had they gone that route...

Nice to see a Florida person actually posting something about Florida.

The other Florida poster (Blade claim) here is as useless as tits on a boar.

What 8 teams do you think will make the Open Playoffs at this point of the season......AHP has to be a little wobbly.

I guess there was a reason the Sportswriters didn't put West Monroe in the 5A Top 10.

I watched a few highlights this morning.

I don't know what's going on at West Monroe really, but it looks to me like they need a complete overhaul.
Fire everybody on that staff and get in the year 2026.

I know that's MAGA country up there, but they can do much much better than this.

Northern LA is much better than the crime ridden shitholes of New Orleans and Baton Rouge that's for sure

They were 8th in the state and 2nd in their playoff bracket. No amount of lies can refute that. Now granted they probably won't be eighth anymore after almost getting running clocked by a team That's not even top 7 in their classification alone.
