Massey had Desoto #5 in the nation.......

Massey may need to make some major adjustments. 🤔😀

Massey will still have 10 Texas teams in their top 25.

Massey is such a terrible product. There's no rhyme or reason behind any of it

DeSoto lost last year in the 6A playoffs to Longview, TX 50-14.   Clearly, it wasn't a fluke.
Longview will be playing Ruston, La again this year in Ruston. That's always a big and nice game.

Let's do some math though.

In the last two games DeSoto has played they have  given up 120 points, but were Preseason #5 at Massey and #24 in the Comp Poll

Come on people. Stop ranking names and do some research...... explain to people why you have a team this or that if you're going to try to rank high school teams.

5A South Oak Cliff beat 6A North Shore 41-31 this weekend.
MaxPreps has North Shore winning 41-31, updated to #3 in TX and #23 Nationally

They might have to change their entire rankings when somebody shoots them an email. I'm not going to do it. I enjoy looking at the stupidity.

The reality is Desoto is a shell of themselves not just as a football  program (about 40 kids on varsity)but a school with a dwindling enrollment. They already had 5AD1 numbers (but chose to stay in 6A) this cycle they may be at 5AD2 numbers and their talent has evaporated considerably. Lost a lot to graduation and transfers out.   It is what it is

There is a real shot that Desoto goes into the playoff with 3 or 4 losses then gets booted out. They could be 8-4 or 9-4 at the end. Hardly night for top 25 in the state. And Creekside is looking so dominant they could run the table and finished top 2-5 in GA. So the loss won't be as bad. The margin of victory is the only thing that looks bad. Not the loss

I think they may struggle with getting the 4th spot v Cedar Hill. There is a reason there was an almost 120 point swing from last years game with Creekside. Desoto typically has 16-20 D1 kids suited up between Sr/Jr classes, this year they have 5.

Their HC ego got in the way when he should have declined any OOS game and just played this season out and move on down to 5A where he belongs.

The reality is DeSoto just isn't coached very well at all
They bullied some people a couple years and are
now getting bullied themselves.
Should Longview drop back down to 5A! Hell, they were a 3-point OT loss away from possibly winning a 6A state championship last year.
