They both have football teams, but evidently they play small schools and are in a smaller class.

They're both schools with over 2000 kids and almost exclusively play schools with at least 1700 schools in football. Both have produced some individual studs over the years in football, in basketball one or two great athletes goes a lot further than the gridiron.

I guess you have to be from Arizona to be up on Sunnyslope football and Millennium football.

I've never heard those 2 teams mentioned once on any football forum I've ever posted on going back quite a few years.

Evidently they must be pretty good at basketball..... and the football powers in Arizona must just be OK sometimes in basketball.

Some of the notable OOS tilts as our schedules are being released:

Liberty hosts rematch with Corner Canyon

Basha travels to OLu

Pinnacle heads to Huntington Beach

Highland welcomes Inglewood

ALA-Queen Creek goes north to Lehi

Games that have been "reported" to happen but are on schedules yet to be released are Peoria Centennial traveling to California to play Servite and Hamilton hosting Vegas Arbor View.

Good stuff. I would put AZ's top 10 against any top 10 outside the big 4 states and that includes Ohio, PA, TN etc. not saying they would clean up, but I would expect them to be right there in the thick of things. AZ is in that next group after CA, TX, GA and FL.

Centennial v. Servite now official https://x.com/Coach_ATaylor/status/2027012761197465809?s=20

Coyotes aren't going to be able to match Servite's godly speed but have a ton back on defense and a good deal back on offense. Offer sheets are in Servite's favor but not in an overly lopsided way at this point so this has the makings of a decent matchup.

I just checked them out. Crazy that they were 21st in AZ and top 350 nationally. And add Heritage behind them, and you have 22 teams in the top 350.

For comparison, Louisiana only has 10 in the top 350. And there are about 100 more Lousiana threads here. Arizona needs to start getting some love

Louisiana had 15 teams in the Top 300 at HSFA which is truly amazing.

Arizona had a measly 4.

Everyone knows outside of 4-5 teams Arizona football is pretty terrible.
And like most states those 4-5 teams fight each other every offseason for what little talent is available.

As a whole just too much desert.
