Do you remember that? John Curtis punked out and played Dallas Bishop Lynch in the Battle of the Border before they refused to play Aledo. Who went 15-1.

John Curtis went 13-0 that year. And they played an 8-5 TAPPS team. Instead of playing Aledo. Curtis refused, and the event knew they were a big draw with name recognition so they didn't want to lose Curtis so they gave them one of the weakest team at the event.

The saddest part was 8-5 TAPPS Bishop Lynch gave 13-0 State Champ John Curtis a 4 quarter war. Game was 21-14. Curtis escaped alive. Had to hold on for dear life.

Sad that all these real football states lock horns with other national powers, while Louisiana gets to play TEMU off brand teams and they still get all the want and some!!!!!
