Point Loma would have been top 5 in Louisiana last year based on the rankings. They would be a major player in Louisiana competing for state titles year in and year out.

In California, they are just another guy. Still national top 150. But not even top 30 in state.

Teams like Point Loma and Pacifica would be state title winning powers in other states, but nothing of note in Cali.

That actually makes the argument for strength in Cali. That there are so many highly ranked teams every year, that these teams don't even get mentioned because they are so down the pecking order.

In Louisiana they are a state powerhouse. In California, the people in California don't know or care much about them. Lol.

That's how it has been for the big 3 (CA,TX and FL) for the better part of 3 decades now. With OH and GA making noise some years. The best team in Lousyana MIGHT scratch the top 10-15 in those states., although Karr was legit last year. Lousyana's top 2-10 would struggle to finish in any 3 of those previously mentioned state's top 50. 

My home state of Tennessee is comparable. We MIGHT have a team (Baylor, McCallie, BA or Oakland) that would scratch a top 10 from one of those 3 states. I, however, am not going to get on here and try and make the good people of this site believe that they are national powerhouses.

What's funny is Arizona has 12 teams in the national top 200, and Lousiana only has 4!!!

What I find comical is he always resorts to bringing up NFL/college stats about Arizona and I seldom respond to it because 1) I really don't care what the perception of Arizona high school football is (nobody on here has shit on Chandler and especially Hamilton and Saguaro as I have); and 2) we actually have an OOS resume that speaks for itself. If I'm ever in a position where my "defense" of Arizona is predicated on anything aside from that resume and national ranking precedence I need to step away from things.

As for the stats he likes to reference presenting an argument around all-time NFL production is missing a lot of context when you ignore the fact that as a state we didn't have a census with a million people until 1960 (Louisiana had over 3.2 million people at that time). That number will probably never swing in our favor for no other reason than the fact that nobody lived here before the advent of air conditioning.
