1. Massillon (4-0; beat Canisius (NY) 42-0) - Massillon dispatched of Canisius rather easily, even with star RB Savior Owens sidelined with an injury. Having Brayton Feister as a backup plan is an incredible luxury. Will Owens be able to go this week as they head on the road to take on St. Edward? The Tigers are still a big favorite on paper without Owens as they will look to make it 5 in a row in this great series.  Next: @ St. Edward on 9/18.

2. Bishop Watterson (4-0; beat Glenville 35-13) - Statement win for Bishop Watterson that puts them right up there in consideration as Ohio's best.  After trailing 13-0 early, Watterson rattled off 35 unanswered points. The Watty defense is legit. Next: vs. Harvest Prep on 9/18.

3. Princeton (4-0; beat Sycamore 56-7) - Sycamore was nothing more than a speed bump. Huge game with Lakota West this week for GMC supremacy.  Next: vs. Lakota West on 9/18.

4. Elder (4-0; beat La Salle 35-0) - Elder shutout LaSalle and further staked their claim for #1 consideration in the state (or at least the top D1 team). Schedule gets more difficult now with Louisville St. X in town followed by GCL showdowns against X and Moeller. Next: vs. Louisville St. Xavier (KY) on 9/18.

5. Walsh Jesuit (3-0; beat Ignatius 31-24) - Walsh got behind 14-0 early before running off 24 straight points and ultimately putting the game away. The Warriors were paced by bruising RB Dominic Cortad who had a 142-yard rushing effort with 3 Td's. They get a bye week and rest up before hosting rival Hoban next Friday.  Next: vs. Hoban on 9/25.

6. St. Edward (4-0; beat Hoban 17-14) -  After showing improvement on the offensive side of the ball the past few weeks, the Eagles appeared to take a step back against Hoban. Credit Hoban who still has a number of D1 guys on that defense, but Lombardo cannot expect to win this week against an explosive Massillon team with a 17 point output and running his QB into the dirt. The Tigers have had Ed's number in recent years, and this year looks to be the biggest talent gap between these two programs (even if Owens is a scratch). Next: vs. Massillon on 9/18.

7. Lakota West (4-0; beat Hamilton 42-7) - Like Princeton, this week is the only game remaining on the regular season schedule that they stand a chance to lose barring a massive upset. Next: @ Princeton on 9/18.

8. Gahanna Lincoln (4-0; beat Olentangy Orange 34-9) - With UA getting upset this week, GL moves to the top of the Columbus-area D1 pecking order. Next: @ Hilliard Darby on 9/18.

9. Moeller (2-2; beat Christ Presbyterian Academy (TN) 42-14) - Moeller benefits this week with UA and Glenville going down. Both losses to high quality opponents in Princeton and Trinity (KY). Rivalry game with St. X on board. Next: @ St. Xavier on 9/18.

10. Glenville (2-2; lost to Bishop Watterson 35-13) - Keeping the Tarblooders in the top 10 for now. Both losses to the top 2 teams. Only one non-senate league game left against Hoban in week 8.  We should find out which division they will be in this week after the OHSAA got the final enrollment count from the Collinwood merger. Next: @ Rhodes on 9/18.

Others: Big Walnut, TCC, Anderson, Ignatius, Pick North, UA, Trotwood-Madison, Winton Woods, Avon, Canton McKinley, St. X, Wadsworth, Hudson, Springfield, Worthington Kilbourne
