I didn't watch much of this one as neither team is elite. But, it was a remarkable 2nd half. Lake Mary was down 21-3 at the half, and 27-19 with seconds remaining and Vero Beach taking knees. VB took ~ 8 yard losses on shotgun snap kneel-downs. They then took a safety to make it 27-21. Free kick was returned inside the 45 of Vero with 8 seconds left. Noah Grubbs threw the Hail Mary, which was deflected and then caught by a WR, who was surrounded by defenders at the 2...but he had one teammate to his left and he handed it to the kid who was spun around into the endzone. Walk-off EP produced a 28-27 win. Wow!

Now this was an upset and a crazy play.
Saw the highlights on twitter.

Raines beat Lake Mary 51-3 this year.
There's not much doubt in my mind Raines is a Top 5 Florida team this year.

Just for the record.
(14-1, now) Vero Beach was #8 in Florida and #83 Nationally per MaxPreps. MaxPreps has proven to have some flaws....... Vero Beach was highly regarded in Florida nonetheless.

Elite? No one really knows who's elite....

After the top 25, MaxPreps rankings are computer based. This is the first year that they are not using CalPreps/HSRatings for their computer rankings and they are... not great.

Worst coaching I've seen in a while. Why were they kneeling when the other team had TO's left. And 8 yd losses per knee down, can't say I understand that new system. And you shouldn't be talking a safety up 8 unless you can run the clock out completely.

This is just like the game from Louisiana two nights ago, a team botched a very simple end of game situation and 8 yard kneel downs were a big part of it.
