He appears to be doing pretty good things at Tulane this year. Transferred in from BYU.
I remember @Steeler01  trying to convince everyone only garbage and crap players went to Tulane.

Passing:
15 of 23 for 245 yards
Rushing:

Many of the college football experts have Tulane making the college football playoffs as a #12....... they can do it if they don't s*** the bed.

Tulane sold out for the Duke game 32, 000+ at Tulane Stadium.  They feeling it!

QB Jake Retzlaff 4 TDs vs Duke

Little context.

Jake Ratzlaff put up great numbers at BYU last year, but was facing a 7 game suspension this year for being found guilty of having premarital sex........ which is in strict violation of their honor code.
So he transferred to Tulane.

I don't guess I really ever heard of that before.

When? I said they don't get the same talent as the power schools and they don't.

As a sophomore he platooned with 2 other QB's, as a junior he platooned with one other QB, and senior year was a 5 game COVID season and he platooned with 2 other QB's.   Thus, he really never got all that much playing time so it was hard to see how good he was.  He was fearless though and not intimidated when playing tough competition.

Well, Retzlaff and Tulane travel to #13 Ole Miss this Saturday.
They're not going to win that game.
Ole Miss is pretty good and that's a tough place to play even for SEC teams.

Tulane doesn't necessarily need to win this game to make the college football playoffs, but a good showing wouldn't hurt anything.

Retzlaff is an interesting story though.

Interesting note:
QB Jake Retzlaff is Jewish and while Tulane is not known as a Jewish University it has one of the largest Jewish student bodies in the nation.

There have been several good articles written about this but it definitely was the selling point for Jake Retzlaff. Much different environment than BYU

"Tulane has a large Jewish student population, with estimates suggesting that around 40% of the undergraduate student body is Jewish. The university is known for its significant Jewish community, offering numerous student organizations and services like Tulane Hillel, which supports religious life, social events, and cultural programs for Jewish students."

So he was a Jewish kid going to a Mormon school?

BYU Context: BYU is a university sponsored by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, with a student body that is predominantly Mormon.

Historical Significance: Retzlaff was the first starting Jewish quarterback at BYU.

Public Figure: He has shared his story and connection to his heritage, even partnering with the Manischewitz brand to create limited-edition matzo boxes, according to NBC News.

Needless to say Jake is at home.  8)

The private colleges with the largest Jewish student populations by percentage are generally considered to be Yeshiva University and Brandeis University, while New York University (NYU) has the largest number of Jewish students. Tulane University also has a very significant Jewish undergraduate population, both in percentage and numbers.
Here's a breakdown:
Highest Percentage:
Yeshiva University is a Jewish institution and likely has one of the highest percentages, although exact data can vary.
Brandeis University is another strong contender for the highest Jewish undergraduate percentage.
Tulane University has a very high percentage, with some sources listing it at 44% Jewish undergraduates.

Yes, this is true.... And it I remember correctly he was facing a 1 year suspension for inappropriate conduct which was having pre marital consensual sex with his Girlfriend.... So he said no thank you and Bounced.... 🤣

Pretty funny since their prior QB Zach Wilson was supposedly hooking up with friends moms and nothing happened to him.... 🤣🤣

I actually researched this and a one night stand accused him of rape 15 months after the fact.It seems that her contradicting statements to police showed it was consensual and that's why he was suspended for 7 games for moral conduct so he transferred
