I remember not so long ago this used to be a huge game.

Sorta felt like a regular game last night

Time's are definitely changing.

It probably felt like a regular game to you because you were sweating bullets praying catholic would lose at the same time watching Louisiana's 8th rank team get the living shit beat out of them by the 12th ranked Mississippi team

Congratulations to Bishop Gorman for finally getting that monkey off of their backs. I'm very confident in saying that 99% of teams in America would stop playing an OOS opponent if they were 0-5 versus them. Most teams would concede at 0-3 and probably never schedule them again. It's great to see that Gorman's AD Grant Rice finds a way to schedule great opponents on a yearly basis. Also most NIAA schools are now colluding to not play Gorman so the Gaels are probably going to schedule more Trinity league schools going forward.

MD played their first OOS state game in 1959 and was undefeated vs OOS teams until last night. They had a 31-0 record including big wins vs 2018 IMG, 2019 St Frances and 2025 STA. I'm glad that a Nevada team gave them their first loss.

Gorman beating the 2 best teams in California this year should also be noted. No other state can claim to have ever done this to CA.

Great win for BG, but not sure they have beat the 2 best teams in CA.... We wi have to see how the TL, SSD1 and CA open division play out.... BG may not have even beat the winner of the TL at this point....

Does this mean that FL claims both the NV and CA trophies this year?

Anything is possible, that's why we love this crazy game. Maybe SJB will meet MD in the CIFSS final. We all know that the CIFSS winner will crush their NorCal opponent in the open bowl game. And that SoCal football > NorCal football . 😂

Do you know if the FHSAA is allowing schools to participate in the Overtime HSFB playoffs? STA vs Gorman would be an interesting post season game.

Da Bishop put it to MD no doubt.  They beat one of the best teams in Cali in SJB. Don't get me wrong beating mater dei is no small feat but the last few years they've fallen off. I said they should have let Lara go before the playoffs last year and for some odd reason they kept him and then there was a huge exodus out of MD during the off-season.  We'll see what they do after they get bounced in the playoffs again. Gorman has a shot at a piece of the MNC this year too. Job well done BG!

I heard that DLS is finally using a more balanced passing scheme. If so maybe they can beat the CIFSS bowl rep.
