I remember last year Red Flag was trying to downplay Ruston getting the doors blown off them by Texas 4A (old TX 3A) Stephenville because they were missing one player. Lol.
@Wooderson @Steeler01 Do you guys remember Red Flag putting Basha in his national top 10, and saying Catholic and Curtis can play their way in. To the national top 10!! 😭 This thread was comedic gold

John Curtis schedules any TL team (1-6) instead of the Cathedrals of the world there is a great chance they are missing a majority of their starting lineup the next week.

Agreed. The false bravado of pretending there is quality football in Louisiana for beating teams like Cathedral, Legacy, St John's, Louisville etc etc is eye popping.
Carrollton and North Shore just represented what any team with a pulse would do given the opportunity to play a Louisiana team

Ruston ducked Allen and I don't see any Cali team going to North LA.
Catholic has the best chance because their willingness to play even or better teams, but after the Carrollton debacle, I'm not so sure anymore. I don't even know if they are returning to Georgia next year
Edna Karr ducked North Shore and SOC. That's the only reason Curtis came about. Because Karr refused.
Every decade or so it seems Curtis will actually play an OOS team with a pulse. They always lose, but they'll play it

Ruston ducked no one ..... they were set to sign.
Allen did not want to make the return trip to Ruston was the deal breaker.
The only thing worse than a Gay Blade is a lying Gay Blade.
Up to 8 starters missing for Basha in their blowout loss to a Pinnacle.

St Augustine. The number 2 team in Louisiana.
Pittsburg would be a state powerhouse in Lousiana year in and year out.
This year they are 23rd in CA. So about the same. Top 3 in Louisiana again.

This is roster building in the most basic sense, especially in environments where there's competition between public and private schools for athletes. When you see high schools building regional all-star squads this is the backbone of that far moreso than some coach or booster "poaching" kids from another school.

Central Louisiana Football League (https://centrallayouthfootball.com/) seems to have borrowed a lot of the local high school teams' colors and logos. Ditto for the Southeast Louisiana Football League (https://www.selfl.org/). These are not so discreet efforts to build a sense of community between these high school programs and kids in an era where very few communities are captive to a single school; if a kid is emotionally vested in being a Central Wildcat from the age of five it's going to be a harder sell to get him on board with becoming a Catholic Bear or a St. Thomas More Moratorium come high school. And frankly there's nothing wrong with that, but let's not act as though Louisiana is functioning completely differently than the rest of the country.

From people that enroll into the school as Frosh and transfers.
Tell us where Joe McKnight came from
Duke Riley
Here's a hint, they didn't attend Curtis as kids.

Imagine counting the feeder schools for Bosco and Mater Dei
What are you talking about now, skip?

You live right next door to John Curtis High School, I forgot.

But you claimed to know by claiming they attended Curtis all the way thru.
Which is BS
When John Curtis runs out onto the field they do not have a 2A football enrollment. Always one of the largest rosters in Louisiana.
How do they do it?
Everyone but the CA Monkey knows.
"John Curtis Christian School maintains a large football roster due to its elite historic reputation, a deep-rooted school culture centered around the sport, and comprehensive lower-school/JV pipelines that feed directly into the varsity program."

There's no expectations there. They're predicted to get their asses kicked like Catholic and Curtis did.
Cajun the Carrollton- Catholic game should be a nice game in December. Reality....... 61-20 after 3 quarters.

Only 175 boys? Well no wonder they suck. Its not their fault they have such tiny enrollment. They play with what they got which is obviously not much.
