Definitely not surprising. Another big Thursday night game.
I got Buford by 2 or 3 TDs.
I realize this game is overshadowed by the huge Santa Fe Christian/Newman game, but it still deserves a little chatter
Let me pick someone.....hmmm,
@Steeler01 What will the final be?
I know you do 100% of your talking after the games for obvious reasons, but give us all your take..
I'm thinking Buford 28-3, maybe even 31-3.
.
I have Buford by 3 cause they're at home. Central can win this game though.
I got Buford big as well. It's hard to win in Georgia. Between the sheer talent and athleticism Buford possesses, and the infamous GA refs,
Plus Buford is literally the reigning national champion. And they got a slew of top flight transfers.
Miami Central got super lucky against OLu, they were losing by 11 in the first couple minutes of the game. The defense settled down and played a nice rest of the game. The offense made the plays when they had to.
But this is a different animal. I think Buford wins 34-17
Buford is ranked higher than Carrollton who made Baton Rouge Catholic look like a JV team.
Buford is up there with IMG, SFA, BG, SJB, SC, SM, and the rest of the elite of the elite.
MC is a tier below.
Buford had 4 defensive touchdowns last week. This is a complete team top to bottom
Just gotta hope MC's defense keeps them in it

This game will probably be over in the 3rd quarter... Maybe even by halftime.
.
Buford is not Orange Lutheran.

Buford couldn't put Gainesville away by the 3rd.
Buford is run left and right. This game will be determined by turnovers.
Buford is a slow starter because they're pretty conservative.
Won't matter.

That's always their MO. Beating up on two teams that are weak doesn't change that.
Carrollton is 2nd in GA. And they beat the living dog shit out of Louisiana number 5 Catholic. It really did look like a varsity team playing a junior varsity team.
Now Buford is better than Carrollton and ranked 1st in GA. Miami Central is coming in 7th in Florida.
1 in GA vs 7 in FL. This is like St Thomas Aquinas playing Newton. After Newton drove 10 plus hours to South Florida and the Broward refs.
If MC can keep this game within 10, that's a win!

I doubt this Buford team is better than Carrollton. This buford team IMO shouldn't make the final in Georgia unless it's a down year in Georgia overall.

I don't know how the playoffs work exactly in regards to which region plays which region and so on, but I don't see any team outside of Carrollton beating them.
North Gwinnett, Valdosta, Lowndes, Newton, Grayson. Etc not sure who is better now
Central 7 Buford 7
5 minutes to go before the halftime

Carrollton was beating Catholic 41–20 at halftime. If Central can keep it closer than that I'll consider it a win

I put this game as -3 Buford. Looks like I'm right up to now.
It's anyone's game

Buford got that five star from Texas cleared to play for this game. That's a huge addition. Literally and figuratively.

Yes, but there offense isn't gonna light up the scoreboard vs Central. They need turnovers to put up points quickly. Central gave them one in the first half and then stopped Buford
The game was tied, 7-7, at half. It's now 15-7 Buford in the 3rd. The game will be over when the clock strikes 0:00.
Buford will pull away. The 1st half is like a boxing match where the better fighter just toys with them for a little while, then drags the to the deep end in rounds 6-8 and finishes them off with ease
It's a shame the game is on Flo. I'll never watch a game on that network, unless they make it free.
Buford 15 Central 7
Buford 18 Central 7
Central was stuffed at midfield on 4th down
18-7 after 3 quarters is a lot better than 61-20 after 3 quarters.
Number 1 in GA number 2 in the nation at home is backing up their ranking against the 7th FL team for sure
Central has been moving the ball and they're inside Buford's territory again
Central goes on 4th and 7 at the Buford 27 and they get stuffed and fumble for a loss of 16 yards
2 turnovers to 0
Central's ball with 5 minutes left in the game
Buford stops Central deep in their territory again and the final is 18-7
The 5 star from Texas had a huge game for Buford.

Perfect timing. Buford was loaded, at home, defending national champs. Tough for anyone. Central will move down a few spots. Maybe 10th in FL.
10 in FL vs 2 in the nation wasn't the blowout I thought it was. I thought it would look closer to Carrollton/Catholic

Central was inside Buford's 30 4 times and came away empty. This game should've been a 1 score game

Nole, my brother, you've got to stop being so pessimistic about FL this year. They are kicking ass. Miami Central beat a really good OLu team this year. There was no reason whatsoever to think Buford would beat them like Carrollton beat BR Catholic. It went about how I expected it to go.
9 easy no fear pick'em points in the bank.
And more importantly, all Carrollton has to do is beat Buford for the MNC.
Buford's offense is as conservative as the John Curtis offense though.

The Miami Central Transfer 3* QB (Pitt commit) was 8/20 138 yards.
How many yards rushing did Central have?
This game wasn't on TV nor was it live streamed....... because it was moved to Thursday night, I guess
skip makes it sound like Miami Central moved the ball up and down the field.
Post your source to Miami Central moving the ball very well.
At least Catholic had an offense and put up 27 points....... Probably should have had a few more points, but it wasn't meant to be

Looks like the 3* transfer RB for Miami Central had 90 Yards..
That put's Central at around 228 Total Yards of offense ....... give them another 10 or 15 yards if somebody else carried the ball once or twice..
Hell, no offense John Curtis had 210 yards of offense on North Shore.

Catholic had a ton of possessions because they couldn't stop Carrollton from scoring.
Neither team yesterday was gonna light up the scoreboard. Both are run first teams with very good defenses.
Central had 4 possessions where they were inside the Buford 30 last night and scored 7 points.
Just say you were wrong again about a game and move on.

And I predicted a double-digit win.
Easy;
Source, skip ...source.
Florida NOT-Top 5 Central was down 15-7 going into the 4th quarter on the road 10 hours away against the number 1 team in Georgia and top 5 national power who just had a 5 star terror fall in their lap cleared for the game.
Louisiana top 5 Baton Rouge Catholic was losing 61-20 going into the 4th quarter against the number 2 Georgia team who was on the road 10 hours away
Jeez. Louisiana looks worse by the week
Red Flag is just admitting he doesn't watch football or even follow it. Just looks at box scores and thinks he's got some magic info. Lol. What a freaking whack job
I want that source, skip!
