Curtis held their own........ gave up a TD with a minute to go, but the defending 6A Texas champs had to work for it. North Shore didn't look all that great. They will probably blow everybody else out on their schedule and win another state championship though.

According to an article I read yesterday John Curtis had 210 yards of total offense....... North Shores defense was considerably better than Cathedral's (Los Angeles)...... That said Curtis doesn't really rack up a bunch of total yardage running that offense against good teams.
In the 6A Texas champ game last year Duncanville had only 290 yards on North Shore, and
could only score only 7 points.
North Shore most likely is going to win another state championship and everyone knows it. Great defense, but their offense is nothing special either.
They will bully their schedule though.
John Curtis may or may not win state here this year. They are going to be a very tough out with their defense.

I believe it. On North Shore's first drive they were called for consecutive false starts after it being 3rd and 1. The first one was on North Shore the 2nd one should've been called on Curtis making it 3rd and 1 again. Instead it was 3rd and 11 and they didn't convert and had to punt.
