Sad.
Wish STA had put 70 on that classless team.
Wouldn't be surprised if that came from the coach!
Different angle.

Not sure what anyone gets out of not shaking hands, definitely a Classless move.... Pretty rough week for TX....🤣
Not sure why teams give other teams that added boost. Up near me, a coach was on a podcast and said that the opponent looked mediocre in their week one game.
So the coach for the other team put that quote up all over the locker room and weight room for the kids.
The running back for the "mediocre" team rushed for a school record 367 yards and four touchdowns. And on his social media page, he posted all the highlights with the caption "mediocre"

I actually thought shaking hands before the game was mandatory.
That should have been a 15-yard penalty right off the bat..

I hate that shit. If a player on my team did that he would be benched and run till he pukes daily for a week
I remember when Sanchez had his teams doing that. Straight up Bush league. Weak ass shit. These are kids who look up to their coaches for guidance. Probably why the qb from bishop did jack shit in college. Karma.

What is Pacifica currently ranked in CA?...... that's right, don't be scared to look.

I understand that competitive equity are big words and hard to comprehend for the Louisiana brain
California has over 1200 teams and had 15 playoff brackets
Louisiana has around 300 teams, and had an eye popping 8 playoff brackets!!!!!!
Louisiana is one of the most watered down states in the country
In Louisiana an apple is an apple.
In Louisiana a watermelon does not play an apple in the state championship game because you're a crappy watermelon.
LMAO

Yeah, I understand it.
If California cared anything at all about competitive equity they would shut down the 5 or 6 All-Star factories there.
Instead of having 14 classes of watermelons, cantaloupes apples, oranges, grapes and raisins all mixed in playing each other for state championships. 😮😭

No,
Newman travels to Houston, TX to play TAPP #8 St John's. ..... that's going to be another ugly loss for Newman.

#2 Colorado Valor Christian beat The Kinkaid School Week 1 in Colorado 38 -22. The Kinkaid School is another Houston private high school. A respectable showing I would guess considering Valor Christian stomped a top Nevada team Week 2 Faith Lutheran (46-0)
St John's will play The Kinkaid School this year.
Valor Christian goes out to California to play Mater Dei this week.

LOL 8th in TAPPS. Like that means anything. They aren't even top 100 in state and we're in a 4 quarter war with the 218th Texas team. Lol. Tied at 14 going into the 4th.
Second Baptist is 44th in Houston alone. And Newman is top 20 in metro New Orleans.
If Houston 44th can be tied up going into the 4th quarter, then metro top 20 New Orleans Newman should handle them.

No,
And see you just proved you know nothing about Competitive equity.... Just because a school has 3k students or is a private doesn't mean anything.... CA has an equitable Transfer policy where kids can play where they want and that's how it goes.... Why waste time and $$ telling kids where they can or can't play?.... It's just stupid....
Backwards places like Louisiana and TX haven't figured this out yet, but there are still transfers in those states but CE is what creates a Balance....
The difference in CA is that only The Open Division Champion is Considered the True State Champion, the realist of them are all for the Schools and Communities so they have the Consolation Trophies.... Unlike watered down states like Louisiana that have 1/5th of the teams as CA yet somehow have 8 State Championships where sure CA has 14 but has 5x as many schools playing HSFB.... So you have to have something for the rest, this is the era we all live in.... 🤣🤷♂️

That may be one of the silliest things I've ever read on the internet
But you still my guy!
The Louisiana High School football playoffs are about as fair as fair can be and super easy to comprehend.
We have only 5 classes of football in Louisiana. 5A-1A
Ok, during the regular season everybody can play everybody. Select and Public are even in the same districts.
Ok, when the playoffs start we separate into 8 divisions. I don't like it, but that's the way it's been for a few years now. since the split.
4 Select brackets > Private, Charter, Open Enrollment
4 Public > Public
And that's that
What's going on in California is complete madness. 😮
If Santa Fe Christian, CA was in Louisiana they would probably be a large 2A team.
Santa Fe Christian would then play in the 2A Select Bracket that has 28 teams come playoff time because they are a Private school. ..... they would then be seeded.#1-#28 determined by Power Points.
You play a great schedule with some good wins you will get a very high seed which means a first round bye.
Santa Fe Christian would have the option to "play up" into any larger class they choose to .
Example: John Curtis is a 2A school, but they choose to play in 5A.
Lots of Louisiana schools "play up" a class or two...... . .
That about sums it up

BUT, by God that's competitive equality.
😮🤠😮
Crazy, man!
Cali - 1,200 teams for 15 brackets equals 80 teams per bracket
Lousiana - 300 teams for 8 brackets equals 38 teams per bracket
In California you have to EARN a title. In Louisiana, they give you one at the beginning of the season. Lol.
Last year John Curtis rolls Cathedral.
Big deal, right.
If Cathedral was in Louisiana they would be a 5A Select team with Curtis, Rummel, Karr, St Aug, Alexandria, Catholic (Baton Rouge), St Thomas More, Acadiana and etc.
Cathedral most likely doesn't even make the playoffs in Louisiana.
In California last year Cathedral got shipped off to one of the consolation prize brackets. 🏈😭🏈

In fact. The 6th seed in Lousiana best bracket was 1,457th nationally!!
They got a freaking 1st round bye!
Cathedral would have mopped this bracket to the semis
Cathedral would have walked Rummel and St Aug and lost to Curtis in the semis
Pineville would steamroll Cathedral.
John Curtis rushed for almost 700 yards against Cathedral...700!!........school record!
No team in Louisiana gives up 700 yards rushing to John Curtis and makes the playoffs.

Pineville wouldn't do shit. The reason nobody put up absurd yards on them is cause they couldn't score. No need to keep scoring on them when the game is over.
Neville 56 Pineville 6
Alexandria 49 Pineville 3
If Pineville could muster up 26 like Cathedral did vs Curtis, Neville and Alexandria, would both put up 70 on them.

It's really crazy when you think about it.
