As good of a match as you could ask for as a neutral. Norway staved off a late surge from Senegal for a 3-2 win. It was a full house and 90% were for Norway. The Fest area at the horse track before the match looked liked the Norwegian embassy. And we dodged a sketchy forecast, the rain happened before the game and resumed after.

Heartbreak for Croatia! Their last minute equalizer was called off for offside. That will set up a QF battle bt the hosts of the next WC- Spain & Portugal

Argentina/ Cape Verde, I'm at a loss of words, incredible stuff. Almost the greatest upset in maybe sports history. Cape Verde tied Argentina twice, but fell just short in OT.

Choke of the Century by Egypt, 2-0 to 2-3 over the last 15 mins. Africa should've had 3 teams in the QF

Yes. Played a superior opponent and really needed to play a flawless game to compete. But it was very evident early on they were headed for a long night. The US just looked off. Reality was the Netherlands were quicker, more polished and not caught up in the moment. They just did their thing and executed. The better team won.

Title: Re: World Cup

A match for the ages! 6-4 England, an exhilarating experience! Both teams had a 4 goal half, both teams scored in injury time, Mbappe became the WC's all time leading scorer (though Messi has a chance to counter tomorrow) & there was even a penalty, what more could a man want! Any other round, this game may have gone down as the greatest ever, but at the end of the day, it was just meaningless match for third. A lot of people won't remember this match, but I sure will!

That was probably my favorite match of the tourney. I didn't think anyone could top Argentina vs. Egypt  -  Argentina vs. England but that takes the cake

Spain prevails in OT. They've got themselves a dynasty as they won the Euro too. They outshot Argentina by a margin of like 20-2, their goalie single-handedly keeping them in it, but the dam had to break eventually
