Title: How Many Florida State Champions Will Lose OOS Games In 2026?
Post by: Redzone on Apr 02, 2026, 09:04 AM
Florida set the National High School record last year with 5 State Champions getting decked OOS, some multiple times OOS.

Let's not pile on and count Runner-ups getting decked OOS, some multiple times OOS

I'm going with 6!

Might be a little conservative considering the total downfall, but that's my number.

Remember anything said bad about Florida is a diss against Louisiana considering the Florida Panhandle is 61–31 against the entire state of Louisiana the last 70 years.

That doesn't include Aquinas clobbering state champ, Curtis, or 3A Delray running clock West Monroe, or 4 loss Deerfield Beach beating Louisiana top 10 Zachary 53–0.

So if Florida is trash and they can punk Louisiana around like the pussies they are, than that makes Louisiana look really bad.

Evangel still holds the record for most losses by a State Champion to OOS teams with 11

ELEVEN!!!

Remember Evangel won 3 Straight Louisiana State Championships, and lost 8 games in that stretch and all 8 losses were to OOS teams!!!

Crazy > 🏈🏈🏈🏈🏈 out of 8.

How's that even possible?

Every Florida champ that lost to an OOS team, lost to a team ranked higher than them in the national rankings. So I'm not sure who was expected win and was upset.

Also, when Florida's 72nd ranked team Spruce Creek beat Ohio State Champ Avon, they claimed the skin of the 17th different state in the last 15 years.

Think about that. 17 different state's state champions. And that's not including beating some of those state's champs multiple times. These are the state champs that Florida chopped down

Alabama
Georgia
South Carolina
Mississippi
Tennessee
Kentucky
Louisana
Colorado
Arizona
Utah
Washington
Nevada
California
Hawaii
Ohio
New Jersey
Pennsylvania

Evangel Louisiana State Champs lost 🏈🏈🏈🏈🏈🏈🏈🏈🏈🏈🏈 OOS games!!!

How is this possible?

Also think about this. Edna Karr went undefeated and finished as one of the top teams in Louisiana state history.

And they needed a miracle overtime home win against a five loss team who was without their star quarterback or division one receiver

That was the best Louisiana had to offer. The three other notable out of state games their top teams got drilled. By 4A Texas cow poke. By MAIS independent  conference and by random Mississippi team.

So not only does Louisiana never play any top ranked teams, they lose to the obscure, no name teams they do play!

Also, I forgot to mention that the 11 times state champ evangel lost to an out-of-state team, it was either by double digits or a running clock. Most of the games weren't even competitive. Evangel then beat the state of Lousiana like a rented mule.

This is not serious football

These were the double digit losses or running clocks Louisiana State Champ Evangel got put on them during their dynasty

to Springdale AR 14-38 (24 point loss)

to Texas High 10-45 (35 point loss)

to Longview 14-52 (38 point loss)

to Springdale AR 7-35 (28 point loss)

to Lufkin, TX 14-24 (10 point loss)

to Carroll TX 16-43 (27 point loss)

to Union Oklahoma 32-44 (12 point loss)

to Allen TX 10-45 (35 point loss)

61-31 is the panhandle of Florida too. Not the whole state. It gets worse when you add the whole state. And panhandle is one of the weaker areas in the state overall. Lol.

In any given year, Florida can have the best teams 1-10 easily.

The 5 teams that lost to OOS all lost to higher ranked teams.

STA to Mater Dei
West Boca to Bergen Catholic
C Newman to Roman Catholic
AHP to Karr
Mooney to Cherry Creek

All 5 OOS teams were national top 100 teams and every single one finished higher than the FL team did nationally.

Imagine if these teams were playing Stephenville, Madison Ridge, Oak Grove, Legacy and Cathedral instead.

I think the biggest punk ass move you can do on a HSFB message board forum is talk shit about teams for losing to national powerhouses, and what makes it even more of a punk pussy move is when teams from your state NEVER play nationally ranked teams, and still lose to obscure no name ones.

Red Flag is the slimiest punk on any forum. I'm not sure he has ever had anyone co-signing the shit he spews. Ever. I think he has clashed at some point with virtually every poster from every board.

Imagine you are watching boxing match and 2 heavyweights are slugging it out for 12 rounds in a title match, and it goes to decision and you call the loser a bitch. And you yourself are some chinless pussy with mom jeans and a weak chest.

That's RedZone in a nutshell

I beleive Lakeland will be hosting a major OOS team, or at least they hope to do so. Given the fact that the team will not be St. John Bosco or Bishop Gorman, and probably not St. Frances, Lakeland should win the game. So that would be one good win for Florida.

If they are national top 50, Lakeland will not be winning the game

The sad part is Florida probably leads the nation in transfers with California right behind them.

I think everyone in South Florida has a brand new QB that transferred in this year. If all those QBs turn out to be duds it could be another long and embarrassing year.

😔😤😔

Rivals reported last year that Florida was 14-38 in OOS games after Week 2...... and it only got much worse.

Let's all keep an eye on the Sunshine State this year...... Pretty gloomy last year.

But, that's just your annual shtick. Lakeland at home, is going to be able to beat ANY team that doesn't house players. Of course, I'm talking about the 2026 team, not a team from some other year. They are particularly damgerous, and perhaps a bit under the radar, because they have both a lot of returning starters and a super strong 2029 class that stayed to play JV instead of running off to play for Kathleen etc. The transfer list should be modest but still has major impact players. The defense will be top 5-10 in the country and the offense will be better.

Most of the transferring was proven guys changing teams.

Outside of old reliable STA, the Dade/Broward powers have probably spread out the talent enough to keep any one of them from being nationally elite. Chaminade getting rid of Toro Wallace mid season in 2025 severely broke up the talent picture. Carol City is probably now the top non-STA team in those counties. But, they were far enough away last year they likely can't be all the way at a nationally elite level just yet. Eventually, they'll probably get there because they now have Toro Wallace, who assembled the most feared offenses in Florida when he was at Chaminade.

STA by themselves have beaten more OOS state champs than the entire state of Louisana has.

Louisana - beat the shit out of John Curtis
Hawaii - St Louis
Utah - Bingham
Pennsylvania- St Joes Philly
California- DLS
Alabama - Prattville

That's just off the top of the head. I bet Louisiana hasn't got 6 skins in their history!

Sure, but those three teams that beat them-admittedly at their home field- are probably the three best true high school football programs in the country. And they were in all three of those games.

True enough, but losing 4 in a row would be hard on the eyes.
