Title: John Curtis/North Shore Moved To ULL Campus In Lafayette.
Post by: Redzone on Mar 25, 2026, 09:37 AM
John Curtis still looking for a Week 2 opponent. I recommended Bixby, OK to the gang as a home/home series. It ain't going to happen.

Anyways, good article.
Note: Since John Curtis moved up to 5A and the public/private split in 2014 John Curtis has only won 2 State Championships in the last 12 years.

ULL spent a modest $70 million to renovate their stadium. It's really nice. Good place to play a high school football game.í

Up and Coming 2A Lafayette Renaissance Charter scheduled John Curtis and Edna Karr this year

I believe Lafayette Renaissance has only been playing football for 3 years?, I'll have to check that out.
Pretty ambitious though. Have to respect it either way

Apparently they have some pretty good talent.

Lafayette, La has a population of about 125,000. Nice sized little city.

Number 3 Texas vs Number 3 Louisiana.

North Shore loses their top QB, RB and WR to graduation. If Curtis scheduled them he either believes he is playing NorthShore from Slidell, or he believes this is will be the worst NS team in a generation. Look what happened to Westlake after Dodge left.

Either way, North Shore will win by 3-4 touchdowns regardless

Good article from Dave Campbell on North Shore that came out a couple days ago.
They are definitely the premier program in Texas.

I didn't realize they had almost 4,600 students. That's a very large school.

The article mentions John Curtis, but I really don't think the North Shore/John Curtis game is any more important than the Curtis vs St Aug, Edna Karr, and Rummel games. St Aug has won the last 3 games vs John Curtis.

Same with North Shore playing SOC and a couple more of those teams on their schedule.

Anyways, good reading. 👇

What a dumb dick. Of course this game is bigger than those other duds you mentioned. This is the highest ranked OOS team Lousiana has played in a quarter century. Quit trying to make it look like North Shore would just be one of the guys in LA. They would still be on a winning streak from whatever time you chose to throw them in Louisiana.

This game won't be close. North Shore will dominate as expected, then you will see Red Flag trying to minimize the game by comparing other losses from this year and whatever other year fits the agenda.

It's the same old song and dance

Here's the thing. I don't think anyone expects Curtis to win. This is what happens when you play top out of state teams. You take your lumps. Look what happened when teams like Trinity TX, Longview TX, STA, FL, and Rabun Gap can punch back.

They stuff Curtis' shit in.

I believe Trinity, Longview and STA smacked down Curtis when they won state.

I believe Escambia FL one year went 7-3, missed the playoffs in a weak district but shut Curtis down while Curtis steamrolled to the Championship game only to lose in a miracle at the end.

Add North Shore to the list

Curtis looks like the 7-8th best team on their schedule and it will reflect in the margin of victory.

Anyways, John Curtis gave up 50 points "twice" last year something they don't ever do.

Edna Karr 50 John Curtis 26
St Aug 55 John Curtis 28

John Curtis was fairly young last year and should be much improved this year, but they did lose some key players.
They will definitely be a Preseason Top 10 team here though.

I'm pretty sure that Week 2 opponent will be an OOS team or they may play 9 games again this year if they can't get anybody to travel to NOLA

So this post is a pathetic way to plant the seed so when North Shore drops 50 and blows them out, Red Flag will be here locked and loaded to post scores from last year to lessen the blow. It's the same ole schtick. Nothing changes.

Looks like someone's working overtime yet again to get Redzone's attention.

After thinking about it, I don't think there's really a "therapy" for that gay cat.

No dog in this fight, but project a match-up has Bixby 42 JC 14 on neutral site.

That would probably be the outcome. Curtis has lost to worse OOS teams!!!

Wonder how many times Gaybob813 has clicked this thread to see if he got any likes or anyone said anything about Florida?

My best guess is that the gay saggy stayed up most of the night. 🤠🏈🤠
