Two Louisiana teams in the Top 10.
#4 Catholic (Baton Rouge)
#8 Barbe (Lake Charles)

That's like some gay dumbass on Twitter asking how did LSU win the National Championship last year in baseball when they lost to FCS Northwestern State, La 13-3
You are a little punk that bothers no one, but you try so freaking hard!

Not the same. LSU had to go through an actual national playoff bracket for a national championship. Catholic went thru a state bracket and was awarded a mythical title based on losing to the 144th ranked FL team. Lol. Not the same.

SJB is loaded, especially with pitching.... As far as the rankings go I would say they are probably living off of their upset win over last years #1 team Corona and their playoff run...
We will find out though as SJB plays in the North Carolina Tournament and The Boras Classic this year....

Not really.
It's all about beating the very important teams on any level.
In high school winning a couple of national tournaments normally bodes very well.
No college baseball teams are expected to go 60-0 in a season.
No high school baseball teams are expected to go 40-0 in a season.
Start a freshman pitcher here or there, bring in a freshman out of the bullpen, play the backups a game or 3 and whatever else during the course of a long grinding season.
States are irrelevant.
Note:
@Reb72 What's up with West Monroe this year?
8-9 #33 In Louisiana?
I get everything I that's being said. I know it's hard to go 40-0 with a challenging schedule. What I'm saying is if you lose to the 144th ranked FL team who went 13-13 on the year THAT should disqualify you!!!
Just that alone should make a team ineligible

Not all teams play in every tournament.... Example, the Boras Classic which is a west coast tournament doesn't have teams from the south or east coast so winning that tournament is Great but is doesn't make you a "National Champion"....
In College you go through regionals, super regionals and College World Series.... High School is jay the winner of an Opinion Poll... Not a Championship win on the field....

In college baseball you can win a National Championship/World Series with 20 or more losses.
In 2008, when Fresno State won the College World Series they had a whopping 31 losses.
In 2022, Ole Miss had 23 losses and won the College World Series.
You cannot win a MNC In high school baseball with 31 losses
Why can't you people understand this?
Last year National Power Venice, FL lost to (7-18) #303 Riverview.
https://www.maxpreps.com/fl/sarasota/riverview-sarasota-rams/baseball/24-25/schedule/
You say that's pretty bad.
Venice swept a little three-game California series including beating National and California Power Corona last year.
Venice is currently #2 in the nation at MaxPreps. If they were to shit the bed a game or two nobody's going to even care if they put together the resume and have the talent which obviously they must have.
Venice will play in several National tournaments this year

So what?.... The point is no matter how many losses those teams had they Made the playoffs and won the playoffs and World Series and the teams that had less losses than them lost.... Their Championship was won on the field....
Had their been no playoffs and their were just rankings, the opinion polls and computers would have named a "Mythical" National Champion that had less losses then those teams in those years and would have been clearly wrong....
And No HS Baseball team with 31 losses would even qualify for their local playoffs because HS Baseball teams only play 30-35 games.... College teams play 60-70 games.... So that's just a dumb comment.... 🤣

You don't have to tell me how the college baseball playoffs work, Einstein.
You do understand there are like 35 at-large teams in the college baseball playoffs, right?
The committee decides on those teams similar to "people/computer" deciding a High School National Champion>>> resume, SOS, talent, state power, state champion and etc........ doesn't hurt to be from a power high school baseball state either.
Anyways, The real point of the exercise was rather simple, but of course you missed it!
When Fresno State won the College World Series they had 31 freakin losses....... lots of them just absolutely mind-boggling.
Like I said in an earlier post they won the games at the end when they were supposed to win > result, crappy team wins national championship by winning 7 or 8 games at the end of the year.
You and the other idiot want to ding Catholic (Baton Rouge) for "1" bad meaningless loss just because they're from Louisiana.
Catholic was 38-2.
Is it clicking for you yet?
Try harder!
And just for the record.
High School baseball "polls" are very similar to College Baseball "polls".......a poll is a poll.
Sadly, there's just NO big tournament at the end of the year in high school.......so, there's like 6 or 7 really big national high school baseball tournaments every season and they matter.
They are not 100% of the grade, but if you win 2 or 3 of those and everything else plays out you got a good shot at a MNC.
Neither Catholic or Barbe will win a MNC this year.
Both definitely could be Top 10's though.

I hate to break it to you, but just because a team wins the College World Series doesn't necessarily mean they were best team in the nation. Most everyone knows that.
Anyways, if high school level athletics are so opinionated and mythical it almost makes talking about them pointless and meaningless, right?
Why do you do it?
You can lose games. No one is disputing that. But losing games against JV teams should bar you from winning the title.
Catholic had by far the worst SOS of the teams under them. And all the teams under them had much better wins.
Corona had Better wins and better losses. There's no way Catholic deserved it
Got thumped by the 144th FL team. That's not being serious

You're right, maybe the team that wins the College World Series isn't necessarily the best team. But they will be the only team at the end of the season holding a trophy saying they were the best. And that is the ONLY that matters. The NCAA championship trophy is not mythical.

Exactly!.... And not to mention, NCAA Baseball playoffs are Double elimination, not single so those "Great" teams that are 50-8 or whatever have to lose Twice in the playoffs to teams that have 20-30 losses, so it's not a Fluke it's a Real Championship that no one disputes or can lay claim to....
You want an example of this.... Last year in the JC playoffs Santa Rosa JC was Ranked #1 and was 44-1 going into a game 2 of their Super Regional against Sierra college who was 34-14.... Sierra college won the next 2 games knocking on the #1 team who finished the season 44-3... 🤣

Nobody ever said you don't get a trophy for winning the College World Series.
LSU has won 2 of the last 3 College Baseball World Series, but guess what?>>>> they still lost to some very crappy teams and played crappy baseball at various points during both seasons.
LSU is currently playing very crappy baseball this year, but they could pull it together and win yet another College World Series.

The point being made is that there is no widely-recognized postseason tournament crowning a national high school baseball champion, thus the title of "national champion" is far more subjective than if a tournament were in place. With that being what it is it's certainly open for debate if a team named national champion should have a loss to a 13-13 ball club that was starting their #4 pitcher.
It's odd that you frequent a sports message board where debate is a part of the community's fabric yet shrink and transform into a corn cob any time someone attempts to engage in a debate with you.

Doesn't make sense. You shouldn't be rewarded for losing to JV teams
What's crazy is Catholic (Baton Rouge) beat Florida Top 15 Lincoln in 2023

The Bennett School (Houston) has about 30 college level players on their roster including some big time MLB prospects....... 15 have committed already.
No disgrace losing to this team. The Barbe pitcher must have done a hell of a job keeping this team to just 2 runs. I need to go see who pitched for Barbe.

HA!.... The Bennett School has 4 losses, including giving up 8 runs twice in losing both time to Farragut and losing to some FL team no one has ever heard of.... 30 College level players is nonsense....
Barbe is a typical overrated LA team that fluffs up their record because they play so many games and beat up on a bunch of average LA teams....
Once again, you are trying to hype up a team that beat a LA team, just like you do for FB all the time....

Typical OC89 reaction when finding out teams around the nation have much more talent than Orange County, California teams.
He's such a good little OC Toady!

Well, the team nobody's heard of was #7 last week Nationally and this week their #13 currently at Perfect Game, #17 Nationally at MaxPreps.
Because you don't know something or refuse to believe something means nothing to me.
OC gonna OC every time, right?

Once again, you're getting destroyed by some facts. You tried to trump up a TX team that beat Lousyana's best. Of course, you failed to mention that said team got bent over TWICE by some Tennessee boys. You've been exposed as usual.

What I do know is the FL team that no one has heard of lost to another FL team no one has heard of that is 10-9.... 🤣
But they still somehow managed to beat the way overrated TX team That Beat the Way Overrated LA team.... Maybe the FL team that is 10-9 should be ranked #7 Nationally and #17 Nationally instead.... 🤣🤣

Blin College
Temple College
Angelina College
Something Something Tech
I have no clue who these schools are. They could be pretty good at baseball for there level, but when I hear committed, I'm thinking known colleges.

There's nothing blind about that at all. It's another instance where you're getting destroyed by someone else AGAIN! Those pesky facts....

Exactly and more than half of those kids who Think they are going to play in College will decide it's not worth the work you have to put in or get frustrated they are not playing.... Especially when you supposedly have 30 "College Level Players" on a HS BB Team and You can only play 9 at a time.... So 20 of those players are either going to Quit BB or Transfer so they can actually play Baseball.... 🤣

Every time I see a post claiming so and so school has 50 scholly athletes, I fall for it and look up the school only to a see of schools they "committed" too are filled with schools I have never heard of. Both for football and baseball. Usually not a single D1 college among them.
SJB beat Harvard Westlake HS today to make their Second straight SSD1 Championship game....
They will face Norco who beat SJB 3-2 in the So Cal Boras earlier this year, then lost to OLU in the Boras Championship game... Norco did beat OLU on their way to the Championship game for the playoffs so this game should be a great battle!....
Last year SJB beat Corona HS who was going for their Second Straight D1 title....
SJB wins Back to Back SSD1 titles with a 2-0 win over Norco.... SJB now has won 15 straight playoff games which is Rediculous in SSD1....
A great story is SJB pitcher Julian Garcia who sat out his JR year with Tommy John Surgery and came back and dominated this year... he pitched a one hitter with 14 k's and No walks.... He finished the season with 107k's and only 10 walks.... Hard to believe he is not D1 committed yet but I am sure that is coming or he will be drafted, he throws absolute gas....
Hard to rank Baseball teams but I would take SJB against any team in the Country this year....

Baseball is so hard to guage. But it's obviously how you are playing at the end of the year that matters. Ask UCLA.
DLS got it done as well. 3 straight 1 run games and then a final of I believe 6-0. Go Spartans!!!
