Title: Lane Kiffin Bringing The ENERGY..
Post by: Redzone on Jan 23, 2026, 05:26 AM
..... like I haven't seen at LSU in years.

Brian Kelly was such a lazy fuck with absolutely no energy.
I don't guess you really know about someone's work habits until you hire them.

Kiffin is putting together possibly the greatest transfer portal class in the history of the transfer portal and he's all over the map.

Yesterday he was in NOLA all day at a lot of the high schools talking to players and coaches then tweeting photos and stuff.

Kiffin is high energy, believe that.
Believe also LSU is going to be a BEAR in 2026.

LSU lost 32 players to the transfer portal this year and none of them will even be missed.

@Steeler01
LSU lost 32 (that's a lot) players to the transfer portal and has picked up 39 players (that's a lot) from the transfer portal.

USC lost 21 players to the transfer portal and has only picked up 8 players from the transfer portal.

Maybe Lincoln Riley feels pretty good about things and doesn't even have to replace the 21 players he lost.

USC has the #1 ranked Recruiting Class this year, they will be fine.... 🤣

You're like a cat chasing a laser dot.  When Kelly was hired you could barely contain yourself.  And kiffin has abandoned at least three schools for more money.  What makes you think LSU will fare any better?

USC "overall" is #6.
You know how this works, right?

https://247sports.com/season/2026-football/overallteamrankings/

That said #6 is more than respectable, but Riley will have to lean on a lot of those freshmen.

I don't think I've ever really been a huge fan of Brian Kelly. He had a good resume.

I did like his house choice though. 😀🏈😀

Considering the last three coaches before Brian Kelly at LSU all won national championships > Kelly was a flop with the resume.

Lane Kiffin has matured 100% and there's really nowhere to go after LSU....... Maybe Alabama or the NFL one day.

College Football Head Coaches FLOP just like College Football Players do sometimes.
In fact, it happens very often.

Maybe they should give head coach's "stars".
Brian Kelly would be a 3*. 😀🏈😀

LSU got some lineman and a good QB. They should be much better with those pick ups but remove Longstreet and a lot of guys that never played but transferred with their HS star rating intact.

That might actually work out.
It definitely won't hurt the situation.

You probably need to look at just who LSU has picked up.

Clearly you don't know.

I do know.

Faheem Delane
Longstreet

These two pop into my head.

Neither of these two guys with high ratings should actually be rated this high.  Delaney barely got on the field at Ohio State but I'm supposed to believe he's a game changer?

Longstreet is a 2 star college player.

Like I said you have no clue.

2*? You're just a very silly individual and not very serious..
Longstreet has 4 years left to play at LSU. I like him and so does Kiffin

Delane was a true freshman this past year and played in 13 games for Ohio State. Lots of freshmen don't even see the field.

His brother Mansoor will be drafted in the 1st Round this year. Mansoor transferred to LSU last year too.

Anyways, those two cats are just part of one of the best Portal recruiting classes in Portal history........

That's completely wrong too.

The only reason USC had the #1 Class before the Portal was because they had 31 commits..... strictly a volume ranking

LSU only had 17 commits. LSU has more than 17 commits now. 😀🏈😀

That's why LSU is number one overall.  Volume numbers, their average ranking player is 89

You've never seen Longstreet play a college game, but you've labeled him a 2* college QB already.

Lots of teams wanted Longstreet coming out of the portal especially Oregon. LSU won the battle.

I watched his highlights at USC in mop up duty He's got serious wheels and throws the ball well enough. The polish will come. Just what Kiffin was looking for.

You probably thought Chambliss at Ole Miss was a 0-star college QB coming out of the portal from Ferris State.

Stop being freaky, dude
Longstreet was going to be Riley's backup QB this year..

Kiffin was at Ole Miss for 6 seasons and built that program.

If LSU can get 6 or 7 out of Kiffin most here would be pretty happy, I think........ especially these days.

Breaking News:
Lane Kiffin and LSU landed 5-star OL Jordan Seaton last night...... the 4th rated player in the portal.
LSU now has commitments from 3 of the Top 5 Portal players. This transfer Portal Class is Historic! That's just not me saying it..... do a Google.

Jordan Seaton is 6-5 330 lbs and has two years of eligibility remaining. He's supposed to be a Top 10 pick in the 2027 NFL draft though. May only get one year from him.

I don't recall USC going from #4 to not even receiving a top25 vote last year. LSU failed miserably, USC just disappointed and ended up exactly where the pundits expected them. Nice try though😁.

Steeler feels great about calling Longstreet a 2-star college QB, hasn't even played a game yet. Just does, whoopy!

Redzone feels great LSU beat out Tennessee, Miami and Oregon for Longstreet. It was a tremendous win for Lane Kiffin and LSU. 👇

Five-star quarterback Husan Longstreet officially committed to LSU in January 2026, choosing the Tigers over Tennessee, Miami, and Oregon. Considered a major transfer portal addition for coach Lane Kiffin, Longstreet joins a reloaded QB room that includes Sam Leavitt, aimed at sustained SEC dominance.

LSU Commitment: Longstreet's commitment was announced in mid-January 2026, with reports indicating he chose the Tigers to play under Kiffin

The Competition: Despite interest from Tennessee and Miami, and considering Oregon, Longstreet ultimately moved to Baton Rouge.

Context: His transfer created significant buzz as it followed LSU's acquisition of QB Sam Leavitt.

Player Profile: Longstreet, a former USC backup, is recognized for his strong arm and mobility, offering high-upside development for LSU.

Longstreet didn't go to Oregon because Moore was coming back and Ryola was going there.... So he had Zero chance of playing.... LSU has a muck weaker QB room than Oregon though so Longstreet may have a chance there.... 🤣
