Title: Shot Clocks in HS Bball
Post by: Crusader on Jan 21, 2026, 01:25 PM
In May NJ will vote on whether to institute a 35 sec one for 2027-28. I think that all states should have one. I for one am tired of seeing teams pass the ball around during the 4th and holding the ball for the final minute of the game before taking the last shot. And a team that's behind won't have to start fouling so soon.

Yeah it's terrible without it. Never understood why the CIF implemented it for girls in the 1970's, but boys hoops In California didn't adopt it until the late 1990's?
