Ten years ago tonight, the Ironman took down the Crusaders 27-21 at Granatell enroute to their most recent state title. It is only fitting that tonight the two sides will battle once again for the same prize at the same place. BC will look to avenge their 14-9 loss to DBP earlier this season as they fight for the right to play for a 5th straight title.
Bosco opens the scoring with a 33 yd FG, 1/824
DBP up 3-0 after 1

That was the year Don Bosco beat my Rummel Raiders 10-3 in NJ...... Low scoring, hard hitting game.
Rummel would go on to lose the State Championship game here to Baton Rouge Catholic 31-28.
That said wouldn't be surprised if Bergen Catholic won this game.
Three or four teams have lost in the playoffs to teams they beat in the regular season .
BC takes the lead on screen pass & some nifty movement, 7-3, 2/949
26 yd FG for BC with 409 left in the half
Bosco runs it in to level the score with 111 to go in the half
Busted coverage and Bosco regains the lead, 333 left in third
Triples Wild!
12 more left for BC to save the streak
Things unraveling quickly in Ramsey. Bosco scores twice in 20 secs. First a short run, then a scoop & score. But we're still the 4x defending state champs for another 1005
Might be the last TD of the dynasty, cuts it to 14 with 334 left
Final/ Bosco 31, Bergen 17
The streak has ended, let's start a new one!

One of the ugliest rock fights of a game I've ever seen. Rummel had a dominant defensive lineman who kept shutting down every bosco run attempt, but bosco coach Toal kept running right at him. Whatever happened to that kid; can't remember his name.

Bosco got a huge break when a bosco db fumbled an INT return at the BC 10 yard line but the ref ruled him down. Bosco scored 2 plays later to tie it up just before half. Bosco may have won anyway, they thoroughly outplayed BC in the 2nd half, but that call was a major lifeline for Bosco.

DT Briston Guidry went to Arkansas and was doing great things for the Razorbacks until he blew up his knee and he walked away from football..... he had seven or eight surgeries and decided that was enough.
Guildry was destined for the NFL though. That Rummel team also had Ja'Marr Chase (Bengals) and Kristian Fulton ( Chiefs)
