Bosco was very fortunate to win the 1st SJR game. SJR really outplayed them pretty thoroughly, but their soph kicker had a rough day in the rain and the SJR coaching staff had brain cramps with time management at the end of the 1st half. It certainly would not be surprising if Joe's wins the rematch, although Bosco is playing at a high level right now, especially on defense. Unlike the 1st game, Joe's will have Lamar Best back at qb this time, but it'll come down to whether or not Bosco can contain Nate Bailey.
Group B Final
DePaul knocks off Paramus Catholic 21-12. The Spartans have have won their 2nd title in a row and their 8th since 2013.
Group 5 Final
Washington Twp 31, Passaic Tech 12

Is PC "livin" again?
Quote from: AztecPadre on Nov 28, 2025, 01:48 PMIs PC "livin" again?
This is the best team they've had in 9 years and they're still young. Wouldn't be surprised if they made it back next year.
Group 3 Final
Cedar Creek 34, Old Tappan 7
Bosco & Joes tied at 7 after 1
Bosco leads 14-10 at the half
14-10 Bosco over Joe's at half. Schoen 2 long TD opasses to I. Alvarez and Murphy, Best TD pass to I think it was Bailey. Joe's with a blocked punt leading to a FG, also a sack/fumble recovery just before the half, ending a Bosco drive. Joe's obviously giving Bosco everything they can handle.
Joes just scored 2 TD's in 21 secs! They lead it 24-14 with 450 in the 3rd
The Ironmen have it at the Green Knight's 26, they have 12 mins to overcome a 10 pt deficit
Quote from: Crusader on Nov 28, 2025, 05:48 PMThe Ironmen have it at the Green Knight's 26, they have 12 mins to overcome a 10 pt deficit
Bosco getting thoroughly outplayed by Joe's. Making mistakes they haven't made all year, fumbles, penalties, a blocked punt, and breakdowns in protection for Schoen

That drive lead to nothing. 1102 to go
Bosco finds the end zone with 458 to play, 24-21 Joes
Joe's wins 24-21. They were the better team, should have won the first game too. Sabella denied again, Congrats to the Green Knights.
Bosco got down to 34 yd line in the final minute but the Green Knight's D stood tall and knocked down the final pass for a 24-21 win.
First title in 7 years for SJR. It's their 20th overall and their 3rd in the top group.
Bosco will lose their 5th final in 6 years, Youch!

Wow, sounds like an exciting final game. Thanks for the recap. Enjoy watching the New Jersey teams & your guys recaps.
My now 2 favorites Ronnie Hickman & Quincy Porter
And no Freebird here! Love to hear about him celebrating with some of Mom's meatloaf and huge bong hits with the hooptie full of scrap metal partially parked on the neighbors lawn.
